Catagory bug?

Nebreah2 What has happened is when you download someones filter that is originally in it's correct category and that person then takes their filter out of the library those filters are then dumped into your "my filters" file. That way you can still use the filters you originally down loaded from that author but they will no longer get user points for your use. If you delete the filters you lose them forever as they will no longer be available in the on line library. This is an unfortunate thing in Filter Forge right now as we can not make our own file categories yet. So if you want to continue using the filters you have to live with them in your file. If you think you will never use them again, then you can right click on the filter name and delete it from your file forever. I hope in the near future FF gets a file system set up that will clear this up. Hope this helped.

All that Mardar have said is true and I agree with it and it have happened to me when a filter has been removed from the library and then it appears in the "My filters" library BUT if the screenshot you are showing ARE the filters that you are having in this moment in the "my filters" folders then what Mardar have said is NOT possible because as you can see here, for example, the 3 Tone Coloring by Skybase is still available in the library, so it can´t have been moved to the "my filters" folder, and the same happens with 21st Century Pop Art by Lime

So I think that this is not what have happened, there must be another reason for this but I do not know why.

Then if you have 415 filters added it can´t never be possible what Mardar said, and there must have happened something that I do not know.

¿ Have you downloaded this 415 filters from the FF library ?

Are these filters also repeated in your filters list outside of the "My filters" folder?

And the problem is that you can´t reinstall FF 4.0 because you should backup the "my filters" folder that are the filters that you can´t recover BUT inside this are the unwanted filters so it would not be any help

DELETE THE FILTERS ONE BY ONE

The only help and fix that I can think of is to go the "my filters" folder and begin to delete one by one all the filters that are NOT yours, and so you will not have them there

I downloaded all filters to 3.0. When I installed 4.0 it asked if I wanted to transfer my library over. so I did. But I did not see a change till after the category update came.

I did fix it by going to my filters file location and temporarily put everything in a folder and then copied the library folder from 3.0 in to 4.0's library folder. and My filters folder 3.0 into 4.0 my filters folder. now I have only the 12 that are not mine from 3.0.

A simple fix. If it does it again I will repost here. Thanks for your help and ideas.
