I pre-purchased 4.0 on my usual license and was given no key for the product; okay, makes some sense, as it's still just a beta. I do find it odd though that we need to request a specific beta key that's somehow tied to our original licenses. So now I don't have a key for something I bought days ago because I didn't know that I would need to re-request something be sent to me. I would think that once someone gets the "okay" to even pre-purchase 4.0 (which also requires a manual interaction apparently), a "beta key" would just be sent to them upon pre-purchase and their actual key sent whenever it is released. I assume I can just use the "Use Free Trial" to get me by until a beta key is sent, but this process just seems disconcerting. Just my 2¢.

I have the Lifetime upgrade and recently in the middle of a complex project saw a filter that I needed only to find out that it requires 4.0 (Beta) so I installed them and spent the night clicking the [Try free for 30 days] button. Like I didn't already have enough things to click on over and over and over again. I requested my Beta keys right away and was sort of expecting them, you know, within a half hour or so, but a couple days later - still nothing. Click. Clickety-clickety-click!

I do not have the lifetime upgrade, but if you have it, you should be able to use the FF 4.0 with your lifetime licence, and if not you should contact again to customer support for the key request.
Somewhere else is a note explaining that when requesting a new FF licence key it is not an automatic thing, and is a manual thing made by the FF customer support and it takes one or two working days, I mean that the weekend does not count, so if you send the request on friday you have to wait probably until tuesday. When I requested the key it was one day and a half |

SpaceRay: Thanks Mate! I hadn't run across that info yet (or forgot it if I did). I'll check it out tonight and if it works, will edit to retract my snarky attitude here. <LOL>

And thanks to SpaceRay's nudging I checked (after I got home) and found that all I needed to to do was go to this URL:
http://www.filterforge.com/contact/beta/ and enter my License name and License key and a new unlock code will be sent. Sorry for the 'drama' of my first post. Well, better get back to it! The Joy is in The Work |

Nekoyoubi, the thing is that not every person who pre-purchased a 4.0 version wants to get a beta version. That's why you need to request the keys.
If you've already requested them, please wait 1-2 working days to receive them. These keys will work until the official release of Filter Forge 4.0. Regards,
