Obviously I seem to be the only person who can not install FF4, ... FF team, volunteers, auxiliary staff ....... anyone?

Can't help in the install department, but I'm gonna stick around for the duration of the beta, which should result in lots of "short time no speak".

Well, this exception is thrown by Filter Forge, not by the installer, so I guess you've installed everything correctly.
Do you start FF as a standalone or as a plugin? Please go to the 'Filter Forge 4\Bin' folder and double-click the 'Filter Forge x86.exe' file -- will it work? |

GMM tried FFx86 file, same thing as previous trying to launch free standing and as plugin in ps cs5, according to the task mamnager it's ticking away at a very low 1-3% cpu ..... gets to 1,659,936 k in the memory and everything stops, no cpu usage
![]() Dilla, rewording [ but only to put words in your mouth ] what you're saying is that you will be making many many new filter for public consumption ![]() |

A couple maybe. There is one filter in particular that I'd really like to make, but I'm not going to say which (I've posted about it in the User Gallery section a long time ago). ![]() --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

Heres a shot in the dark but uninstall FF then go to the C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Roaming and delete the Filter Forge4 folder...Then when you install DO NOT IMPORT anything.......Maybe perhaps for some reason a filter is preventing FF from opening.....

manually adding the files caused the repeat of the problem ....... I have about 400 library filters, ummm and about 4800 odd of filters in My Filters folder. Is the volume of filters the problem or specific filter?

Thanks CfandM, you've actually written everything I was about to suggest. Removing the filters and adding them back in stages should locate the culprit.

well it isn't any filter causing the problem it's the quantity, the bug is in the import filters
