I downloaded the beta 3 and tried to get a couple of the thousands of filters and get a msg saying "filter forge not installed" Can we not try out the filters if we don't buy or is there something else I am missing?

When you get to this page that says this at the end
Click the "here" part/...Then you have to click that "download" button again....There has been many posts about this...Your browser does not see correctly how to open the filter (does not know what to do with it)....In Firefox you can go to menus..Tools-Options-Then click the "applications" tab...Scroll down till you see either filter forge or ffxml in the content column... then in the action column you can choose what app to open this with..... Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Oh Yes! The beautiful "Filter Forge is not installed" message
![]() It is because you do not have yet the Filter Forge cookies stored in the browser that you are using and so the browser does not recognize that it must call FF to download filters fr om the filters online library and so is why it tells that FF is not installed As said very well by CFandM, you have to go to wh ere it puts "click here" and then try again to download and when asked, tell that you ALLOW that the browser opens filter forge. Please, see also this thread here http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...5&TID=9037 |
