We considered that but the decision was to leave the main UI uncluttered.

Hmm, ok, it is a very useful feature for contextual tweaking with image colors and colors produced in intermediate renderings. I hope you will reconsider adding it.

Another use for it is to allow a semi interactive configuration of filters. I will post a fractal explorer later today. You will like it smile;-)
