I placed a checkbox and switch in this filter to make it easy to see the problem. Notice when the checkbox is checked that the compare directly above the switch shows a difference. This only happens with hdr exr files.

I will try to attach the file I used for testing. It probably will not work so if you need it let me know and I will send it via email - it's only a 1MB file.

This is not a problem. You're getting different results because Invert is not an HDR-supporting component, which is indicated by the absence of a yellow outline around its Source input and the absence of a yellow streak near its output triangle -- see Blend(HDR) for comparison.
When you feed an HDR image into a non-HDR input, it just clips the color channels into the range of 0...1 -- hence the difference between the original image and the output of Invert. |
