Hey, this is probably old news, but I just came across:

- The HDRI import function: handy!
- The new Ambient Occlusion render map. Useful!

Props to the FF team for FF2.0!

Old news is old, but thanks anyway!

BTW, the HDRI import function was there since the very first beta of V1.0 smile:D

corvus,

there are several threads in the forums where i've posted how to do the imports, in case anyone doesnt know. and i learned from a post by one of the FF guys.

what we really need is a good way to pass the finished, custom environments around to each other... a common website where we could download (and upload) them. i'd be happy to post a few. i just dont want it to be youtube or flikr or someplace like that. i'd prefer an FF sponsored site or an authored sponsored site. wait, dont we have an author doing an FF site now?
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Hmm... I guess I must have missed those. Actually I probably never realized you could load HDRI environments b/c it's up in the menu>tools.

Yeah, having a place to share stuff like that would be great. Pixologic (Makers of Zbrush) have a nice site set up where users can share 'matcaps' which are sort of like environments / materials, and it's really useful.
