I notice on my 8-core Nehalem Mac Pro, FF 2ß will never use more than 800% of my CPU cycles (out of a possible 1600%). Are you planning to add Hyperthreading support before it's released?

I've got an i7 920 and both versions of Filter Forge take advantage of HT.
Windows task manager shows all 8 cores loaded to 100% when rendering.

I've got a MacPro and it really depends in on the filter.
See the screenshot, the filter is just a lab, but you see the CPU-usage floater on top.

Edit: Btw it depends on the OS, but on Mac OS X, a thread is a thread is a thread, and the OS handles dispatching to whatever thread subsystem available.
