The commandline renderer of FF 5 crashes.
The same "bat" file with the commandline renderer of FF 4 doesn't crash.

BAT file for FF 5 : crashes
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 5\Bin\FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe" FFBatchRandom.xml
pause

BAT file for FF 4 : no problem
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 4\Bin\FFXCmdRenderer-x86.exe" FFBatchRandom.xml
pause

In the FF 4 directory there are .fpo (?) files installed.
In the FF 5 directory there are no .fpo files.

I tried to copy the .fpo files of FF 4 to the directory of FF 5 : same result.

Seems that the installer of FF 5 doesn't install everything (?) or that the batch renderer of FF 5 is corrupted.

Before upgrading to FF 5 I removed FF 5 beta (in the official way) and installed FF 5 release after downloading from the download section. Should be the latest installer (5.006).

Can someone confirm that the commandline renderer of FF 5 (5.006) crashes where the commandline renderer of FF 4 doesn't?

If you want us to look into the problem please post the xml, the filter and the source image (if applicable). Or send everything to support.

The commandline renderer of V5.006 crashes with every filter (at least here) where the V4 commandline renderer renders normal.

I 'll remove FilterForge 5 and 'll install it again and 'll let you know.

I reïnstalled version 5.006, downloaded saterday (21-11-2015).
Same instant crash with the command line renderer.
It crashes after the line with the xml file.
The line "Filterforge commandline renderer, version ...." doesn't appear (as I can compare with the working commandline renderer of version 4).
Seems for me definitely a bug.
Error when loading Photoshop Elements 8 (as confirmed by other people).

I downloaded and installed version 5.006 (but newer date) from yesterday (23-11-2015).
The error with Photoshop Elements has gone, the error with the commandline renderer still exists.

Can anybody confirm that the commandline renderer of any released version 5 (not the beta) is actually working?

Authorisation problem with the release version of the commandline renderer?

It may be working or not working. There are some issues indeed, I can confirm that. Until it is fixed please try running the command-line renderer as administrator.

Thank you for your confirmation of the bug.

More information to solve the problem :
If I run my ".bat" file with administrator rights the command-line renderer doesn't crash. But now :
1 FF says it is a trial version, 29 days left.
2 FF says it can't find my xml file, although it is in the same directory as the ".bat" file and the version 4 renderer works without specifying the full path.

If I extend to the full path of the xml file in the commandline in the batch file, it is rendering. smile:)

So please, solve the three issues (crashing (administrator rights needed to run), authorisation problem (trial version) and the need of the full path length).

Are this 3 bug points? smile;)

That's two bug points as we believe your third issue is another manifestation of the bug with admin permissions. Please wait for 5.007 and let us know if it still persists.
