The picture in the next post shows that warnings are generated when a Value control is used on a slider input to a Map Script. It is allowed, but the filter can not be submitted. Also, when clicking the ! the message (also in pic) suggests using the Grayscale control as an alternative, which doesn't seem to make sense.

Indeed, this doesn't make sense. Thanks for spotting, that's a bug point for you. We'll need to check other connection suggestions as well.

Concerning value controls in scripts: there is no support for scripted Value-type inputs, and this is not a bug. If you feel some functionality should be added into the program, please post your request in the Feature Wishlist forum and not here.
