If there are any outdated color controls connected to components, they get disconected by grouping.

If I understand you correctly this is intended behavior, see the Ungrouping section in this article.

I mean that if they have removed the "image as override" feature and this feature is included in the old color controls, then they are disabled automatically so this does not interfere in the group, so you will only be able to use the new color controls from FF 4.0

I think that if you have an old filter that want to use with groups you will have to replace any old color control with the new FF 4.0 ones

Ray I am able to read myself. You don´t have to comment in every thread.

GMM, if this is intended then it sucks. finding and replacing all the lost conections is a pain! I´d rather have a warning triangle in the conection.

By 'outdated' you mean obsolete Color controls? Why would you use them in a 4.0-conpatible filter?

Because I have older filters who use them. Or am I not allowed to update them and use grouping? smile:p

Well, if you are already into updating the filter why not update the Color controls as well?

Well I didn´t knew they would be all disconected, and then I had a huge mess and had to find out where to plug which in...smile:-)
