I just downloaded and installed the new beta version but when I entered the key I was given for the earlier beta, it is invalid.
Do we need another new key for beta stage 2? Gill

I got mine within less than an hour of downloading. Can't be alphabetical as you're only one letter after me. I read they're taking a while to send them all out as they have so many. Still, you have 28 more days left before you need to worry Gill

Not really if you want to use the Render Maps with anything else than Off and Alpha.
Personally I use it alot for normal and specular maps so I would like to get a key soon.

That depends on filter. Some filters are surface filters which include bumps, normals, specular, etc etc.... where some aren't. So basically not all filters render out passes. The demo version has no limitations excepting the fact that it's a 30 day trial.

The 4.006 I am using right now has those map options disabled even when working with surface filters.

Ok I just noticed that waiting for the filter to finish rendering the full Render Maps menu actually showed up. I then reinstalled FF 4 and now it shows up already fr om start.
Not sure what was happening. Maybe an installation bug caused a "hang" in a function call or something. But now it Works and I can confirm that the trial is without lim itations.

I figured out why I couldn't upload to the library. I put the filter I created into my favourites and it seems you can't upload from there but I was able to upload from the My Filters folder.
Also the help file has nothing about the new Filter Manager

Good to know it, I think that maybe with the new filter manager, it works in the same way as before, I mean that if you want to submit a filter, you have to save it to the "My Filters" folder first and then submit it from there.
So you could be creating and storing your own filters in whatever custom folder, but when going to submit it, you need to save the final version in the "My Filters" folder, so the submit wizard will be able to find it.
So this could be a very good thing, and you could save to the "My Filters" folder ONLY the final finished version that you may have, and so know that this ones are the final ones.
