This happens in 3.0 aswell and I find it pretty annoying.

If you completely desaturate a color in the color picker, it will reset to red.

I set saturation (S) to 0 and it doesn't look red to me. Please be more specific or post your screenshot.

Yes, this is true but this is not a bug. The math we use for handling colors does not allow to extract hue from RGB channels of a completely desaturated color -- that information has been destroyed by desaturation. So when it needs a hue it defaults to red.

To handle this, we'd need to store 'last used non-red hue' or something like that for the color picker somewhere in the data for the color input.
