For some reason I made the mistake of clicking "update." Silly me, right? Now it says "cannot connect to server" even when I don't click update. Can't load any new filters. Is this a server issue or is there something I can do on my end to fix it?

Hi WarpZone
It is a server issue. It was appened to me. and the FF team told me to uninstall reinstall FF. I did not do that, because I had to change my pc. Since my new pc, this problem was gone. I found in this forum a solution for this problem. I'm very sorry, because I do not remember where in this forum where is the solution. visit https://gisoft.ca |

Ok, I found the solution that I was talking about :
You go to "Tool" - "Options" - Click "Online", and there, check "Use the built-in library browser (obsolete). This had resolved my problem few time ago. I do not know if this solution stills ok, but try it. ![]() visit https://gisoft.ca |

if that problem hits you like it does hit me often ..
There is nothing YOU can do but wait and hope the next day it will work.. It has being like that for a long long time.. if you CAN download some filters with the Internal browser .. be sure not to click to many +/_ 40 a time.. otherwise the server times out and you got to wait untill the next day orso .. EDIT is the same with Windows version btw.. Chris @ FF staff, for new or clean installing users .. the internal version is anything but obsolete.. |

In my honest opinion you re better off just downloading the 20 dollar filter package as i have done.Especially at time like this.
I thought this was only a problem with FF-3 Beta versions, but apparently it is for all versions as i get the same error for FF-2 also. ![]() I am sure it will get fixed soon. They fixed it pretty quickly last time. Rod
