Hi,

My version of Filter Forge 2.0 stopped working, as well. I've asked for assistance, but it takes a long time for the support team to respond. That is, they ask a question. I answer. A day later, they ask another question. I answer. Am awaiting a response. Meanwhile, I can't proceed with my project. I've downloaded the program again- to no avail. Any ideas? Many thanks.

Hi Zorwench,

You haven't specified any details at all. If you provide more info on your OS version, your Photoshop version and your problem you will get more specific response, otherwise we have to collect details from you first.

Thanks for the feedback. I have a MAC OSX. version 10.6.7 (IMAC). The Photoshop version is CS5. FF worked well the first time I used it on this machine. Then it stopped working. Currently, the FF opens when I click on it. But, the program does not engage, that is: I can't open any filters (either from Photoshop or from the stand and), nor can I download any filters. Thanks again.

So, you can work with the filters that are shipped with the program?

Please describe step by step: what are you doing and what error messages do you get.

No. Although the program opens, I can't open any filters. Thanks so much for your help!

Please describe in detail what happens when you select a filter within Filter Forge, e.g. Wood in the Building category.

If I click on "file/open image," the list of jpeg files that are in my textures folder is displayed. But, when I click on one of the jpeg files in that folder, the folder closes and I end up with a "blank screen."

Similarly, when I navigate to the FF website and try to download a file, nothing happens. Thank you.

I downloaded the FF program again. It still won't allow me to open filters. Also, (bow) when I tried to download a filter from FF I received the following error message:

<XFW::OSCallError> (block 4, parent pipe 0x4, slave pipe 0x1125d40) failed with error code 32: Broken pipe.

Try clicking the 'Open' button instaed of double-clicking the file.

This is a known issue but we're unable to reproduce it. Does it reappear every time you download a filter?

No. I'm no longer getting an error message. I can't download filters, nor can I call any jpeg files (that I'd created previously) up. Thanks.

Clicking on the "open button" doesn't make a difference. I still can't download filters from the FF site, nor can I open any of the filters I once downloaded. The program just stopped working one day and hasn't worked since.

Nothing happens. I read on some other website that filterForge is not compatible with the latest version of Photoshop: CS5.

It isn't working on my Photoshop CS5. As described above, the program opens in Photoshop, i.e., when I click on it. But, then nothing happens. Filter Forge works with the CS4 Photoshop program. But, I'm doing everything in CS5 now. Thanks, Margery

Margery, if FF works for you under CS4, it will probably work in the stand-alone mode. Please try to run Filter Forge without opening Photoshop.

Also, please provide the exact program build that is displayed in the Help > About window

FF works in the standalone. But, I'd like to be able to use it when I'm working in Photoshop CS5, since I can't match colors, textures, etc. (with other textures that are already in the scene)- without doing a lot of extra steps. If FF is suppose to work in CS5, I'd like to be able to use it there. Thank you. Margery

Now when I attempt to open Filterforge in Photoshop CS5, Photoshop crashes and I have to "force quit."
