The close widgets for both the filter viewing and filter editing windows should show a dark dot in the center when the filter has been modified such where a save confirmation dialog would appear (it should disappear when the document is saved or undo commands have backed the filter back to where it was previously saved). This is customary in document based applications on OS X.

(For the programmers: guys, when you get to fixing this, ask me about the Crapadilla's saving bug -- I have some notes about this in my MM. Both these bugs should be fixed in one batch).
