Filter Forge - proxy, socks5 prompt

1999or machine Posts: 5	I expected when I filled out the Proxy information with my SOCKS5 server I would be prompted to authenticate. I was not. How do I use an authenticated SOCKS5 proxy on filter forge 5.0 mac?

GMM Moderator Filter Forge, Inc Posts: 3498	This is a pretty exotic setup. I believe most Internet-aware software won't be able to authenticate with a SOCKS5 server. Even Firefox doesn't have this option. What you may need to do is to set up a proxy redirector â€“ a service that accepts non-auth'ed connections and redirects them to your auth'ed proxy server. I haven't used those myself but quick googling finds ProxyCap and CCProxy.
