On the mac (10.9) with the latest FF, the scroller bar in the controls list (filters with a lot of controls) is greyed out in some circumstances. It can be "recovered" by changing the control pane size (moving the top bar of the control pane).

The error always happens when running FF, as it turns out. For example, here is a snapshot of the settings screen after first opening FF (using the filter Paint Strokes) and hitting the Settings tab. If I change to another filter with a long list, the scroller is still missing.

Here is the workaround, if I resize the Setting pane, the scroller returns (attached).

Yeah this is a MacOSX thing. OSX recently removed the sidebar completely in favor of more screen space.
