FF 2 FF 3 FF4 all load its UI wrong..
Why on earth can't you guys fix it .. i switched systems OS version of FF and its still not working ..

If you're using Photoshop, don't open FF as a standalone too (if that's what you're doing).
Load Photoshop, open your image in Photoshop, and on the Photoshop menu bar, go to Filter ---> Filter Forge ---> and select the FF version you're using. FF will then load on top of PS.

I agree with BARCODE. On OSX 10.9.2 with Photoshop CS6 the original image always stays above the FF window. A trick to get around this: before using FF, hide (yellow - button) the image window you are working in, then run FF as a PS filter as mentioned above. FF should be on top After applying the filter, restore the image window so you can see the FF status bar. My 2 cents.
I'm adding to my own post. A little research: the problem only occurs if you are using floating windows. This little problem does not occur if you use tabbed (ie docked) windows. I prefer floating windows, so...

Sorry, Chris... when you said (in your OP)
"I open version 4 of FF .. load a image in Photoshop... "
I took that to mean that you opened FF4 first (standalone), then opened PS.
Hope someone can help you out.

First, you can switch to the Filter Forge window from Dock.
Second, Rick is correct about floating windows: in Photoshop, select Window > Arrange > Consolidate All to Tabs and then run Filter Forge.

Thanks for the reply GMM. Further clarification. I just tested, selecting Filter Forge from the dock to bring it on "top" does not work. The current floating window continues to stay on top, and is in fact in a waiting state and can not be hidden after you have run FF as a PS filter. This is a major OSX bug, IMHO. When I was evaluating the product, I almost did not buy FF (I could not find the FF window at first, the buy/evaluate window was hidden). In the end I ran FF as a standalone until I figured out my workaround. As an aside, an example of a plugin/standalone filter that works correctly with floating windows in PS is Alien Skin Snap Art. My 2 cents, 3 with inflation.

Did you miss my post? Just hide the image window with the yellow upper left (-) button before using FF in PS. Heck of a lot easier than moving the window around. Then while the filter is rendering, restore the image window from the dock. I'm up to 4 cents.
