Ever since I installed the "Height" Snippet on FF2, I have been unable to use FF. I have uninstalled and reinstalled over & over to no avail. Is there a way to delete a snippet? I am assuming this is the problem, because whether I open FF@ in PS4 - or on its own - it opens with the Height snippet on and immediately tells me I have encountered a Fatal Error. Uninstalling & reinstalling as support suggests won't work for me.
Any suggestions? Thanks so much! When Adventure Calls, Say Yes. |

Hi cowgirl !
Yes, I think that you must go to your file called library in FF2 and find the snippet. I found the snippet number for you. It is the snippet : #1761. You just have to delete this number of file in your library. Have a nice week ! Let us know if this will resolve your problem. visit https://gisoft.ca |

Hi, Ghislaine.
Thanks so much for quickly replying to me. I did find the Library on the FF website - I typed in the Snippet #, 1761, and it comes up. But then I cannot for the life of me figure out how to delete it. I know I'm missing something - guess I'm totally dense. I recently suffered a brain injury and I'm afraid I'm not quite as quick to "get" things, so please accept my apologies for asking more about this. Thanks so very much. Hi Deb
![]() For finding your FF library in your pc, there is 2 ways : 1. C:\Program Files (x86)\Filter Forge 2\Resources\System\Library so in your library, just find the number of the snippet and delete it. or 2. C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Roaming\Filter Forge 2\System and find the snippet for delete it. I hope that this will help you. Let us know if this is ok or not. ![]() Oh... I just read your all posts and see that you run a Mac. So for Mac, I do not know if it is the same ways. Maybe someone could reply to this post with an appropriate answer. I run a pc myself. visit https://gisoft.ca |

The filters are located in ~/Library/Application Support(<FilterForge version>/System/Library where ~is your home directory.

Thanks, Totte & Ghislane -
Here's the problem - I cannot even get into Filter Forge. Every time I attempt to open it, Filter Forge opens with the Height Snippet active. Immediately thereafter I see a fatal error and before I can do anything else FF crashes & closes. Quite simply, I cannot even open Filter Forge to perform the delete task without FF2 crashing, because that Height Snippet is right there - opening as soon as Filter Forge pops up. Unless I am misunderstanding you, I am attempting to open Filter Forge 2 that I downloaded to my computer - onto my Mac hard drive. I've looked at FF online to see if I may access my files there, but all I seem able to do there is open the Height Snippet as if I were about to download it. I see no way to delete it. I hope I'm explaining this correctly so that it makes sense. And I have removed FF2 & downloaded a number of times, thinking that might do the trick. It just keeps opening with the height snippet. Many many thank you's in advance. Cowgirl When Adventure Calls, Say Yes. |

Hi Deb
I cannot help you about your Mac system. But about a pc, when we re-install a software after having deleted the version who gives problem, things must be ok. So I do not understand why after many re-installations, the snippet appears again. I do not think that this snippet comes with FF2, but we must download it on the FF website. So I do not understand why your new copy of FF opens on this snippet. Also, and generally, FF2 opens on the filter used when we close FF2. So it is normal that when you open FF, the last filter used appears. But I really do not understand why FF opens on a snippet that you did not used (for axample on a new copy and on a copy that is not supposed to contain this snippet). Sorry for my poor english. You must contact the FF team for your problem if nobody cannot help you by posting replies. I'm sorry for you. ![]() visit https://gisoft.ca |

Thanks, Ghislaine, for all of your help. You really did offer everything you possibly could to help me and I so much appreciate your kindness and helpful suggestions. For some reason, I just seem to be caught in that snippet and cannot get out.
Your English is excellent, and you have been so generous with your knowledge. Cowgirl When Adventure Calls, Say Yes. |

1. Find ~/Library/Application Support/<FilterForge version>
2. Rename <FilterForge version> folder to "BadFF" 3. Reinstall Filter Forge Now you might be missing some of your own filters - just go to the BadFF folder and copy over the filters you need (from/to MyFilters) |
