Installed newly purchased FF4 on Mac OSX 10.9.4 ...
1. The icon doesn't appear in Launchpad, 2. The FF app folder has inconsistent privileges (Fetching...: Read & Write, everyone: No access, that's all! no admin, no system! Can't add system either.), 3. FF4 PlugIn doesn't show up in Photoshop CS6. What magic tricks do I need to know about to get all these issues addressed? PS: The Mac had not prior FF installed before. |

You may need to change the access rights for that folder.
Please click the 'Applications/Filter Forge 4' directory, select 'Get info' and set the read and write permissions for your user name. After you make sure FF runs in the standalone mode please check this thread about plugin installation. |

Today, I just purchased and installed FF4 on my iMac i7 quad core 16GB OSX 10.9.4 machine.
I had the problem with a non-accessible FF4 folder. I unlocked it, added my user permissions and was able to open it and startup the standalone app, but the plugins do not appear in either Photoshop CS6 or CC. I have been trying to make sense of the string in the Mac bugs section and I have tried copying the entire FF4 folder into the Plugins folder for Photoshop CC 2014 per the moderator's suggestion. No go. I have already wasted a couple of hours trying to solve this problems. Is there a solution that can get me up and running? Thanks, |
