I don't think thats a bug. The free gradient is not wrapping coordinates. You can simulate coordinate wrapping by setting up an intermediate lookup with normal profile gradients.

Beautiful and well done shapes you have made using the free gradient, this remembers me more about the very good and useful tutorials about shapes made by CFandM -> Working on Shapes Tutorials

and also good to know that using the Ellipse instead of the free gradient you can get it right in the scale
