uberzev have put here the link to a very interesting project that you can see here
Guilloché Pattern Generator This is spirography on steroids megapower Thanks for the link as it is interesting BUT the problem is that the largest resolution you can save the result is 935x600 pixels, really too small to be able to see all the great details that this generator can make. BUT I think that would be possible to make the designs on this one and then convert them to vectors and so you can resize them. I am testing this now. Could be possible to make these Guilloché Patterns inside FF ??? Lots of beautiful and interesting Guilloché patterns found in this google images link, do not miss to see all these beauties, for example this one here ![]() |

Ask ThreeDee, as his Sine-O-Graph script can probably adapted to do this. Basically what you have here is a lot of SIN\COS mathamabob for the points, and then line sections to connect the points. |

Personally, I use Dragonfly Sinedots I and Sinedots 2 free photoshop plugins for most of my harmonigraph needs. Works great. Free.

Thanks for the links CorvusCroax, this looks beautiful and interesting I will try them.
I have tried with 4 different software to convert the Guilloché Patterns from the Subblue project But regretably it seems that is NOT possible ![]() |

Cool and wonderful link. Thanks very much. ________________________________________________ VERY GOOD NEWS - I HAVE FOUND A WAY TO ENLARGE THE Guilloché Pattern Generator !! _________________________________________________ I have been able to make a 2800 x 1800 image with perfect quality 1 - Go to the Guilloché Pattern Generator and make the design you want and make all the setting as you would like HOW TO SAVE THE RESULT IN HIGH RESOLUTION? 2 - Well, BEFORE hitting the S key to save you need to use the CTRL + keys together to ZOOM into the screen and so you wil make it much larger, go until the maximum you can 3 - Use the SCALE Setting to fill the new black empty space with the shape you have designed. 4 - NOW you can hit the "S" key and you will get a high resolution version of your created design. As said above in my case and my test I have been able to get a 2800 x 1800 pixels image. 5 - If this resolution is still not enough, you can use a good resizing software to mkae it even bigger. I have used the OnOne Software Perfect Resize 7 (included in the Perfect Suite 6)and it works very well and converted it to 7800 x 5000 |

lol Spaceray guess what: if you right click you have some printing options. If you're on a Mac, there are "save as pdf" options which allows you to... save as a vector format. Pretty sure you can do similarly on a Windows machine.
![]() I recommend using programs like Inkscape or Illustrator to produce that instead of using resize programs to do that ![]() |

Would this be really possible ? This would be really awesome and wonderful. I have seen this before BUT on my windows computer I ONLY have save as pdf option without any kind of "save as vector" option ![]() Where do you find this "save as vector" ? inside the pdf settings? Perhaps you have installed some software that gives the option to save as vector that I do not have or Mac have it and Windows don´t. Here is my Adobe Print as PDF settings ![]() |

Forgot to say something very important
To be able to use the "CTLR" and "+" keys to zoom and enlarge in the browser, you MUST click first outside of the webapp black window to activate then the browser window and so you can use the browsers zoom. If you do not do this and you are still inside the active webapp you will not be able to zoom |

Sorry kinda got confusing there, the PDF file is a vector format (in this case.) I'm not too sure about Windows print-save formats but I just know on a Mac system you can save PDFs straight out of the print menu which is handy

Skybase, the PDF file is vector based, that's true, but it can also hold raster images like JPEG files in it.
Please, can you open the PDF in Photoshop or Illustrator, and see if the guiloche is live vector or just a raster as it is in wiindows? Thanks! |

Yeah that's why I wrote "in this case." It's fully vector.

Please, Skybase could be so kind to explain the steps of what you do to be able to print a PDF as a VECTOR ?
![]() When I try to print as PDF I do not have any option to choose between bitmap or vector, it always makes it as a bitmap with the size and resolution that is on screen. |

SpaceRay, I tried both PDFCreator (free open source software), and the trial version of Foxit PDF printer, both save the guilloches from subblue in vector format.
I opeed the PDF files in Illustrator and it was live paths. Install either one of the PDF printers or any other for that matter. Right click the guilloche (Inside the webapp), select Print... and then select the PDF printer. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I will try this as you have suggested and install this software. I have just been thinking and searching for some kind of software that would let you do this, but you have found it first and even tested it, so thanks really very much for this great help. |

Note that it's not going to work for everything.
The webapp is made in flash, which is vector based itself. So "printing" it to PDF just saves the vectors. If you try to print to PDF a bitmap, or a java based webapp, you will get a raster in the PDF, and not live paths. |

Well, I know it will not work for everything, but if it just works to be able to convert this Guilloché Pattern to vector is enough for me

Hello, after this comment from Morgantao I wonder if there is any way to know if a web App is using vectors or bitmaps? I mean all the webapps that are done in Flash, are also vector base, or is not this way? If it is a java based App is always bitmap? Thanks for any help |
