Please, Have anyone here used the Mandelbulber software ?

Also is known as Mandelbulb 3D or Mandelcube

Or also the Mandelbox software as seen here

http://sites.google.com/site/mandelbo...-mandelbox

example image in this link

and this one here

it really can make some really stunning, eye popping, jaw droping and awesome results if used right as can be seen here smile:eek:

BE AWARE - be prepared to be astonished and breathless smile:eek: smile:D

Yep smile:) I actually implemented it in Lua for Filter Forge, but it is dead slow and I'm battling scripting bugs smile:cry:

Have you implemented it inside Filter Forge as a filter ????? smile:eek: smile:eek: smile:eek:

but it is dead slow smile:D smile:D Of course because many of this kind of fractal software depend very much on the GPU to have a good speed, and as you know FF does not have any GPU acceleration.

The more power your GPU has, the the better/faster a final image can be rendered.

Oh! Very interesting.
Does it require a particular graphic card to work well?

( P.S. : Small program. Only 8.9 kb. I thought it was at least like FF )

Wow... some views are really spectacular!

Have any of you seen the stunning and amazing examples shown here ? smile:eek:
http://sites.google.com/site/mandelbu...e-settings

But this examples are in low resolution and small, Please take a look at this high resolution and lovely and beautiful examples of STILL images I have found and be amazed of what can be done ---> http://www.forocoches.com/foro/showth...?t=2101134

TURN ON THE HIGH QUALITY SETTING ON VIDEO AND FULL SCREEN

Even knowing what can be made, I am still breathless and speechless looking at this jaw dropping beauty that some are able to make with the very high quality and SO MUCH DETAIL and that metallic look ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yb5MRb...ure=fvwrel smile:eek:

If the one above was really beautiful, wait until you see this and you you will drowned in fractal beauty and excellence ---> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Foupq...re=related

I already know that fractal are infinite and have lots of detail when traveling inside, BUT with Mandelbulber this has reached to really very high heights !!! Amazing how infinite and huge details can be in a very tiny part of a tiny portion of a fractal as you can see in this video ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMLOBk...re=related

Only 8,9 KB ??? smile:?: I think you have downloaded another thing. The Mandelbulber software has in the latest 1.11 9.4 MB in the 32 bit version and 11.2 MB in the 64 bit version of Windows as you can see here

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mandelbulber/files/

I do not think so if you mean if it must be a Nvidia for CUDA or AMD Radeon, because it seems that the GPU acceleration is based on the OpenCL (don´t confuse with OpenGL) as you can see in this forum --> http://www.fractalforums.com/index.ph...pic=8843.0

OR examples in this forum with CPU vs GPU

http://www.fractalforums.com/mandelbu...HPSESSID1=

If you mean the quality and speed of the software , please this quote I have put above

The problem I see is that as many software, this needs LOTS of things to learn (which means a lot of time too), and you will have to see HOW to use all the MANY options and settings available in the Mandelbulber software as you can see below in the GUI interface, luckily you do not need to be a expert in mathematics as you can copy the formulaes given.
