Hey guys, so the company I work for is looking to hire full time artists who can relocate to San Diego. We've worked on several AAA titles including Unreal Tournament 2004, Unreal Tournament 3, Gears of War, and the upcoming title Homefront (Frontlines Fuel of War team). We also released our own game on PSN called Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars (which uses a lot of Filter Forge). I personally would love to get some support with texture/materials and if that all came from Filter Forge, even better.

A wide variety of skills (like modelling, particle effects and such) is a big plus. Being a smaller team, we get to do a lot of different things rather than being pigeon holed into doing the same thing over and over. The work environment is also much more laid back than most companies. In other words, it's not a corporate environment with tons of meetings and a bunch of project leads to answer to. Everyone gets to be a game designer, so there is a lot of input into the projects as a whole. We actually get a lot more work done this way and don't have to crunch as often as pretty much every company we've worked with.

Every Friday (almost) is beer Friday where we get a bunch of micro brews and drink them on the roof in the nice warm San Diego sun. Several of us also take Ski trips to various resorts every winter.

That's enough selling lol. smile:D

Here's the application form:

It's got a lot of general art covered in it, don't worry about not having experience in everything. It's just easier to have all areas of art covered in one application. We're looking for all fields, so it's not limited to textures/materials.

It's a possibility so don't let that hold you back. It might be tough if you aren't local. Plus in the past we've done internships where we'd usually end up wanting to hire several of them, so if you're just interested in a single summer gig it might be more difficult. But again, there's no reason not to apply. smile:) Also I should note that I'm not the decision maker on who we hire but I'll have input. So this isn't an "official" post or anything.
