Filter Forge Discount Expires Soon!!!

I never thought I would be happy to see a discount end...that is to say if it isn't followed up by a 60% discount for another 3 months after this one

Ohhh, I already own FF, and I am not saying it wasn't a killer discount for those who got in on it. But it just struck me, like you, as unprofessional to the point it almost became funny everytime I saw the advertisement.

I honestly can't remember a time FF wasn't on sale, and don't get me wrong, I am one of FF biggest advocates... but to much of a good thing, and all that jazz...

i remember hearing about studies that pretty much prove out that if you sell things at too low a price, folks will get suspicious and/or not buy. we, therefore, EXPECT that good things will cost good money. large discounts tend to 'cheapen' the value of the product or service in the public's eyes.

That's the formula.....keep a huge discount going, newbies think it's an awesome deal that won't last long, so they jump at purchasing it before the never-ending discount ends.....and if it does ever end, Vlad will wait about a week and start it up all over again.....because sales under the discount "approach" are probably much better than without it.....

also try refreshing the page. sometimes you are looking at a cached page.

ron, dont know why you're having this trouble, but i'm not seeing any of the discount markers now, so, i'd say something is goofy with your browser. maybe try a different one?

To "us" it looks like that.....but I think the "intent" is towards new customers who don't realize that there is always a discount going on this program.....so they will jump at purchasing it under the false impression that the discount will end, not be back, and so they better buy it now to get the savings. It's definitely a less-than-fourthright sales ploy that doesn't look very good from our standpoint.....kinda makes it more about the $$$ and less to the quality of the program.....the same as all the self-promoting does here, IMHO.....

Anywho.....I hope they do make more $$$.....and put more into program enhancements.....

Yup.....stuck at 33% discount with 7 days left.....not bothered by it.....hope it helps sales and subsequently programming further enhancements.....

Discount ballon disappeared last two days.....and now it's back today.....

As I said.....no big deal to me.....and like Vlad stated earlier, if the discount is creating more sales and moving this forward, then ya gotta do what ya gotta do.....

ok, i'm writing this on my firefox browser... no balloons, not on the main page and not on the forum pages. nothin, nada, zip! gotta be something on your machine. try flushing your browser caches, cookies, etc.

OK, LONG story short..
I downloaded Firefox. At first I had the Discount balloons!
Re started the browser, & they went away!

So, the deal is, IF you want to purchase F/F Pro. for $200.00, use Internet Explorer / MSN, the discount balloons are there, .....

No, I have to log in @ the F/F site, (with Fire fox) but the discount balloons are gone, so far.

Check box did not work @ first. I re checked it, quit, & re opened Fire fox, now It lets me know I am logged in. - I use: http://www.filterforge.com/
That check box did NOT work with Internet Explorer / MSN etc.

Ok, here's the thing...

Let's say I was to buy Filter Forge now (I will buy it, it's just a matter of time).
When 2.0 is out of beta, it looks as if I'm going to have to pay more out for a 2.0 code.

So surely I might as well wait and then hope for (what seems to be) a permanent sale price as I'm sure there will be a sale once 2.0 goes live?

Since there has been what seems to be a permanent sale price since the time i started using FF i am guess there will be one for V2 at some point. Currently there is 6 days left for 50% for me right now.
