I have seen that the photos taken looks like Abstract Art the images from Arizona Lower Antelope Canyon as shown on this google images search

I've always liked those shapes and colors. I've often thought of doing a 3D scene in Vue. The basic shapes would be something within my ability to model. Just need some Filterforge maps with some slightly wavering lines for the many strata layers and a small bit of noise. Then apply to Mesh with a little displacement. Play with lighting and have own 3D Antelope Canyon to play with.
People come fr om all over the world to photograph this. It's on an Indian Reservation and you must pay and sign up for a ride into the area. I think they are only allowed to bring in a few people per trip a day. Because of flash flood danger. Years ago people were trapped and died there in a flood. I'm about 10 hours drive from Page Arizona wh ere this is near. Page is also near a very photographed area called "Horseshoe Bend" |

And fr om the 4 corners area wh ere all the amazing sandstone formations are: Arches National Park in Utah from one of my trips there in 1997.

The reasons to put this thread was to see all the beautiful images, and how they create such nice abstract composition with those colors, that I do not know if they are added in post process, or they are really there in that place at some time in the afternoon or early morning, or maybe they have artifical color lights in that place for the tourist that visit this place, as I have seen that there are a path and stairs to climb.
Good that you live near from there in some way, as 10 hours drive is not really "near"   but at least you are more near than me that I am in Spain, and can not obviously "drive" through the water |
