I stepped back until she was a blur then waited for her direction to change and stepped forward and her direction remained in the changed state. I suppose it doesn't count if you do it my way. smile:(

It is difficult for me to keep her going clockwise. If I look away for couple of seconds she reverts.

If I look at two of them, one for the left eye and one for the right, I can flip the direction with ease. I don't even need to step back.

Take a guess what this does.

proc guess (int $numSpans){
circle -n legSegProfile_nCir -c 0 0 0 -nr 1 0 0 -sw 360 -r 1 -d 3 -ut 0 -tol 0.001 -s $numSpans -ch 1;
for ($i=0;$i< $numSpans;$i++)
{
createNode noise -n yOffsetCv_noi;
setAttr .a .5;
float $cT=rand(0,1);
setAttr .ti $cT;
createNode noise -n zOffsetCv_noi;
setAttr .a .5;
float $cT=rand(0,1);
setAttr .ti $cT;
connectAttr -f yOffsetCv_noi.outColorG ("legSegProfile_nCirShape.controlPoints[" + $i + "].yValue");
connectAttr -f zOffsetCv_noi.outColorB ("legSegProfile_nCirShape.controlPoints[" + $i + "].zValue");
delete yOffsetCv_noi;
delete zOffsetCv_noi;
}
};

It takes a circle like on the left and makes it into a circles like on the right. There is surely a better way but I thought this up myself so I like it. smile:D

carl, i see her going both ways. at first, i saw her going clock-wise. the trick i used to get her going both ways was to watch the shadow of her feet for a bit. i could see those going in the other direction and when i then looked back at the full model, she was now following her feet shadow. cool, huh? smile:)

i wonder who first noticed that. it must have driven them crazy at first.

OMG there is no hope for me or the left side of my brain! Um... wonder if all my braincells are mainly on the right...!!!

Yeap, most of us, since all of the modern world is educated to use the left hemisphere in percentage of 70%, to the detriment of the right one, besides children and some savage tribes that weren't affected by the western culture.
Therefore, I wonder if seeing the dancer turns clockwise doesn't reveals a left brain hemisphere dominance . Btw, I see her turning clockwise too, one time seen her counter clockwise and another time seen her half turn clockwise and half turn counter clockwise...

shit maybe they should test kids to see which side of the brain is getting used more.. cause then they can work out what subjects they would be achievers in, rather than getting them to do subjects that will only waste their time. Granted they would need basics of those other subjects etc etc, am burbling lol.

Was looking at both the lists and always thought I was logical but maybe I live in a fantasy world believing that smile:D, mind explains why I am crap at languages even the one I use daily.

I have to say no matter what she wont stop spinning to the left (clock-wise), she even speeded up at one point when I tried to get her to go the other way.. and my poor eyes!

heck, all you have to do is ask them. kids know at a fairly young age what they want to do in life. i knew fairly early. i remember making the decision. school messes up because they just bypass that decision by the kids by trying to stuff them full of other subjects that arent on their own purpose line.

lol, bel. i think it's rigged. it just keeps changing directions on me. i'd swear it's on a timer smile:D

Nah, get two people to watch it at once, in the same room and one can see it going one direction while the other sees the opposite. Just tried that out. Also tried out the feet shadow thing again and now she wont stop turning anti-clockwise lol.

Just had a look she's back to clock-wise

Ah, looked again and got it to go the other way.....have to take your mind off of her rotating on the center axis of the picture.....and allow her to float not relative to the frame edges in your mind.....rotating forward around the axis of her other shoulder.....

So what does it mean if you can see it both ways???

I think Bryce is an excellent choice. Not because I know anything about Bryce but because I think, anything that enables you to get started is excellent. What made you decide to choose Bryce? What is the difference between Bryce and Daz?

I got hold of a 5.5 copy of Bryce for free, and thought I'll try that till I get money saved for vue 6.

Daz is a 3d figure posing/animation software probably classed as the poor man's poser.

Bryce is a 3d landscape software.

Want to learn how to use Daz properly too but don't want to sign up to too many classes at once cause still have other things to do smile:D

Um.. my list of classes I would like to do is getting longer as well.

Daz
Terragen v.2
Ultra fractal
possibly the next to Bryce classes after this one

mind list might get longer if I keep reading what classes there are.

Not enough hours in the day. In fact I got a little tired of classes (in the form of tutorial DVDs). I got bored with working on other people's crap. Not that their crap was not good or that my crap is any better but there started to be a backlog of things I had conceived that were blocking the conception of other things - my brain has a very limited capacity. smile:deer: For now I am going to develop some of my own ideas then pick back up with the tutorials later.

I like the last class I did because even though we all followed the same course work, we all ended up with totally different images at the end, mainly because of the choices smile:D, and that we all design in different ways as well.

Mind I did do an image last night need to practice more I think cause the render quality on the land is pretty low.
