Not sure, anything is possible. Watched that much tv over the years, that some programs get lost with time in my head.. I think my brain has a random wipe facility that just um randomly wipes information smile:|. Like um what was we talking about?? *coughs*

Depending which samples your talking about the one above was Xenodreams, the landscape one yesterday was Terragen. Not got the full version of Vue 6 yet but will when I get some coin's to rub together.

Homework??? What class is that for??? ......you probably posted it......but I'm too lazy to go looking through all those pages for it..... smile;) smile:D

I have AutoCad.....but I've gotta save my pennies for either 3ds Max ($ 3,500) or Maya ($ 5,000).....along with fully-stocked V-Ray ($ 500)..... smile:devil:

Between Ron, Craig, Carl, and you.....I'm seeing a good part a game design team..... smile:devil:

Working with game graphics have as much appeal to me as listening to the exhaust leak of a 1974 Ford Pinto. Same goes for, what can only loosely be called 3d graphics, used over the web like those found in SL. smile:-p

Now this is how you build a robot. smile8)

Since Jurassic Park is so old, I would not be surprised if it was done with mostly animatronics. But more to your point, I think any of the top packages can do most of what is seen on television and film - it's more a function of the artists at the wheel. Then again, a studio will make so many proprietary modifications to a package that the real answer is than none of them can. smile:|

Here is a two part podcast that describes the vfx pipeline used for Batman Returns.

Craig you may not want to listen to so much info on vfx but I think you will find how hdr panoramas were used to be very interesting. You can hear that on one the first half of part 2.

yep lol! My mind went blank when I read the part that said construct our own model. Being that till then I hadn't built anything in Xenodreams.. most stuff I build is in Second life. I might see if I can use similar principles for building in Xeno. Might be interesting if I can create stuff a bit like what I build in SL.
