I really like that one but the strata looks a little faky. With the blue sky it might look better as icebergs. Can you easily change it to icebergs?

From Wiki:

an anamorphic frame is described as 2.40:1 or 2.40 ("two-four-oh"). In American cinemas, the common projection ratios are 1.85:1 and 2.40:1. Some European countries have 1.66:1 as the wide screen standard. 1.33:1 was used for all cinema films until the 1950s.

Probably cause I saved the info, would be a case of opening it up and changing the surface type

Craig check out Canon's new 5D MarkII. It has a 1080p movie mode! smile:)
Still has the narrow (two stop) brackets but has a full size sensor. Very good for the type of photos I like to take.

Beliria, it probably doesn't matter with textures but with the images you have been generating using terragen it may increase your sales if you make your packages available in popular ratios so the compositors will not have to stretch or crop them. I think, but don't take this as fact that the most popular are:

4:3 or 440x486 NTSC American television
16:9 or 702x576 PAL(Europe) and PALplus(UK I think) television
16:9 or 1280x720 HDTV 720p
16:9 or 1920x1080 HDTV 1080p

It is even more confusing with film/digital film but I think the most popular formats are:

1.85 or 3996x2160 Digital cinema 4k
2.39 or 4096x1714 Digital cinema 4k

I got the information from here. The Wiki information is probably correct but I have no idea if my interpretation of it is. smile:|

Carl and Craig, this may interest both of you. It is a hack for the 40d that will allow it to do what Craig was asking about - realtime video capture. This will invalidate the warrantee but may be worth it if you want to do video.

yes, canon and some others, are going back through their entire line and upgrading to 'mark ii' or whatever they want to call it. with panasonic, that dmc-fz18 that i was drooling over has been upgraded to a dmc-fz28. it's essentially the same camera but with new technology added or replacing. oddly, i'm not drooling as much over the -fz28 as i was the -fz18.

it's primarily the zoom that i was wanting in the -fz18. it's electric, which i dont care for, but it was 18x optical, which is quite sweet for a non-dSLR. but, i may have to break down and get a dSLR. i've been trying to avoid it, but the nears just arent giving me all the features i'd like in a camera. so, i'm still studying... we'll see smile:)
