Still friends?

You're implying this is my decision not yours.
Right now your worldview puts you in existential conflict with my family and friends. I think you have done everything you can to bridge the gap and I respect that.
Let me put it this way. Would it be possible for you to be friends with someone you learned was working actively to have your friends and family eliminated. Or who supported, even advocated for, someone you were convinced is guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity and of performing acts of violent acts against my family and friends while working to destroy the planet.

unilateral withdraw from abm treaty
walked away from talks on chemical weapons ban smile:evil:
backtracking on political pledge to convert coal fired power plants natural gas
reopened research on tactical nuclear weapons smile:evil:
appointed political cronies to epa and nasa
illegally circumventing fisa
directed nasa to rewrite mission statement to not include environmental concerns
placed family ties with saudi's ahead of national interests
uneven hand in israeli palestinian conflict
outed cia agent for political purposes pardoned the person that covered it up
refused to testify under oath at 911 commision
lied about reasons for invading iraq
approved the torture memo
support unitary executive
abuse of signing statements

These are just off the top of my head. With some research to jar my memory I could make the list much longer.
I consider us future friends.
I think you are honest enough and intelligent enough for your positions to evolve in this lifetime(this is not a character trait I attribute to many Bush supporters) to a point where we can be real friends. I look forward to that time.
In the mean time I will take my natural place as outsider and continue to heckle from the peanut section. smile:)

Yup I guessed that from when uber complained his snippets weren't going HU with in a couple of days 3 went HU [ how can a snippet go HU LOL ] and the new authors who he wants to stick around quickly get HU, unfortunately they rarely do which is a shame [ Sphinxs comes to mind ], I just always hoped it was a mixture of Vlad and usage. There has been alot of gossip the programs sale aren't doing well, I can't understand why it wouldn't do great, I'd already decided I was going to forget about the eula problems and just go back to submitting textures, it all seem to have hurt FF more than it hurt us really, the world full of crocks and exploiters I'm just going to ignore them and know there are people legitametly using them smile;) smile:)

Hehe, I didn't mean it THAT way. I was just making fun of the facts that Vlad can get HU on his filters without them having even a single download (naturally!), give himself editor's picks, etc. You spun it into a full-blown conspiracy theory there... smile;) smile:D

Hi guys! Sorry I've been away so long. Getting everything ready for the wedding and taking care of the baby almost fulltime is a lot of work.

I need to redo some of my old filters cuz that LU crap on them really bugs me. I still have only 4 HUs...my own fault I don't have my 5 for deleting that one HU.

The mashed potato joke was funny. smile:D

So is it official yet that we will all vote for that lovely Hillary Clinton? smile:dgrin: You know you guys want to hear her lovely voice screeching at you for the next eight years.

The smilie will have to be a write in vote, but I think he'll do a great job.

As you can see he requires no money and so he will get rid of things like senators voting for their own salaries and retirement packages and put that money back in our pockets where it rightfully belongs. He's against outsourcing too. CEO's would have to actually hire American citizens to make the products they sell to American citizens. No more fat wallets for them either. The IRS would be done away with since it's illegal to begin with. And that is only the small list of what he promises to do for the country. smile:D

Holy crap, I think I finally finished buying everything needed for the wedding. Victorian weddings are so simple to shop for as most people have that type of wedding, but a goth wedding is much harder than I ever imagined. Took forever to find all the right clothes for everyone in the same style and colors. smile:eek:

The rental halls and churches were a problem too. Most didn't want us bringing our own food, they wanted to charge us $50 per person, plus the cost of the hall or church. All of it was overpriced. The goth part also was a problem with some...guess they were afraid we would do human sacrifices or something. (well, we do have to eat... smile:dgrin: )

We live in a retirement village in our own home. We have lived here since we were in our twenties. We have a nice size rec hall here and we will be getting it for two days for free. We even get the key so that we can lock it up after we set everything up. Worked out nice for us.

Baby is doing great, getting big, chatty, and sitting up.

Sounds like it's going to be a nice different wedding, how many are you expecting. They screw people blind with wedding stuff prices, I went to one a couple of years back which cost 28 grand [ Aus ] so about 40 US, ironicly the marriage lasted less than 6 months, while I've been to a couple of hippy wedding that everyone helped and contributed to that cost virtually nothing, those marriages are still going strong smile;) . I'm living in sin I'm afraid, we have been Defacto for about 20 years, we just didn't want to rush into anything smile;) smile:D

We were going to have over 100 people, but then the problems with the halls made us decide on the place we are now getting free and it has a capacity limit of 49 people. So, a lot of people won't be invited. Mainly it will be family with a few friends. The kids are ok with it.

Paul and I paid $25. for our wedding. We went to a church with one of our friends and got married in a back room there. We've been married 29 years this May. The kids have been together now for 8 years and both are determined to make their marriage work like ours. No one in her family, Paul's, or mine has been married longer than us. We hold the record! smile:D (it's cuz we were always too lazy to get a divorce smile:D )

As soon as Levi is ready he will start doing art and music and restoring antique and classic cars. smile:D

So many people I know marriages haven't lasted, by coincidence a friend told me on Friday that he and his wife have separated, I had no idea I thought they were happy and I pride myself on usually picking up on the vibes from people.

One of the hippy weddings I went to I gave them a sack of potatoes as there wedding present [ it's not as stingy as it sounds, it was on there wedding list so to speak ] of course it was used at there reception, they got all presents like that and it was one of the best weddings I've been to where everyone was involved smile8) smile;) smile:)
