hehe, well i'll tell you why i voted for the second. the first seems to be having a bit of trouble existing in 3d. it sort of looks like it's trying to fold back in on itself where that pinwheel is. just looks out of place a bit in 3d, whereas the 2nd one has no such conflict.

aah, well the first reminds me of a fish and the second of a crustacean smile:D, mind they are of the same image from different angles. But I get what you mean, wonder if I should do the first one in colour too and see what that looks like as well smile:D

I was going to say definitly the second one but they both have qualities - the colour ones is my fave smile;) I know they won't let you submit that one - so I guess the first one, no the second one though I do like the first one.......... excuse me for moment while I have an arguement with myself...........

........ ok we have decided the second one smile;) smile:D

This is cool. Just more displacement editing like I posted before but I find them interesting to watch. smile:) I do not know what software they are using, probably zbrush or mudbox but it could be anything like that.

It looks like modeling with subdivision surfaces is much the same as what I have been doing with nurbs and polygons. smile:( I was hoping it would hold more secrets about how all this goes together.
I have not been able to find a source that just comes out and tells me how to get from maya to Balrog. smile:?:
So I guess maya is used in a bottom-up way to block in a model that forms a kind-of low-density cage that can be rigged and skinned. smile:| Then other software like zbrush is used in a top-down way to form a high-density wrapper that is then glued to the cage. smile:| Then textures are applied to this wrapper. smile:| I'm not sure where the gluing takes place but hopefully when I get to texturing this will all become clear. It's hard to believe that even after a year it is still so confusing. smile:|

smile:D that's one way of counting it part from the day's seem long when you don't have computer access, unless it's through choice.. as in not turning it on etc.

My computer's main hard drive died last year and it was 7 days of pure hell not having a pc!! Cool thing was I had been told I'ld get it back after 10 days. Mind by day 2 I had moved all the furniture around in my room and cleaned it from top to bottom etc smile:D Much rather have the computer though.

When an international flight lands at Boston's Logan Airport and the passengers and crew have all died grisly deaths, FBI Special Agent OLIVIA DUNHAM (newcomer Anna Torv) is called in to investigate. After her partner, Special Agent JOHN SCOTT (Mark Valley, "Boston Legal"), is nearly killed during the investigation, a desperate Olivia searches frantically for someone to help, leading her to DR. WALTER BISHOP (John Noble, "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King"), our generation's Einstein. There's only one catch: he's been institutionalized for the last 20 years, and the only way to question him requires pulling his estranged son PETER (Joshua Jackson, "Dawson's Creek") in to help.

When Olivia's investigation leads her to manipulative corporate executive NINA SHARP (Blair Brown, "Altered States"), our unlikely trio along with fellow FBI Agents PHILLIP BROYLES (Lance Reddick, "The Wire"), CHARLIE FRANCIS (Kirk Acevedo, "Oz") and ASTRID FARNSWORTH (Jasika Nicole, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent") will discover that what happened on Flight 627 is only a small piece of a larger, more shocking truth. smile:eek:
