Well I hired Santa's elves but they have to go back to the north pole soon.

Oh well, I bet it's not that easy to write checkout software all on your own. It has to be worth something. smile:|

it's not that, I'm very rusty with html and there's so many security loop-holes it's probably best to use safer methods. Maybe in a year or so I could set something up or afford to hire someone to set a site up for me. smile:D

anyway my home work rendered!! Just have to do the extra credit one sometime before friday.

So will say good night now, have a very creative evening Ron smile:) and anyone else that logs in smile:D

Dreamweaver is the business standard so to speak - golive is going to be discontinued - without being anywhere near an expert I'd say alot of programs do an adequate job to set up a simple site but if you want the full monty Dreamweaver + Flash [ Flash is on my wishlist smile;) ] is the way to go - I have Dreamweaver and golive and golive is easier to learn especially if your familiar with ps and illustrator - I have found for this fuzzy old brain teaching myself web design a frustrating experience [ first used a computer two years ago smile:blush: ] while ps etc were relatively intuitive smile:)

might check and see if there's a dreamweaver demo or something, I did do a html course ages ago but most of its evaporated out of my brain.. probably cause I never really got to use it much.. smile;) the html that is.. mind think my brain doesn't get used enough sometimes too smile:D, plus last time I did a web site was um... about 6/7 years ago and things was more basic than they are now. Case of getting my head around stuff. Right I need to go fiddle in a filter or something. or do my extra homework lol. laters!

Will do, was having issues last night getting it to render right, so rendering it now. Must keep an eye on the count down cause need to stop it at 500 to add lighting.

it's not that I think my computer needed rebooting last night cause it was taking longer and longer to render anything, not sure what resolution its at though.. haven't found that info in the settings but its 2800x2100 in size, and that's the requested size for the course. Smaller images take a lot less time.

That's pretty large. smile:eek: I wonder why those numbers? What's special about 2800x2100?

It's nice how they made it so you can get started making things without having to learn a bunch of technical bs.

no clue cause we have to then open the render in photo shop or paint shop and resize it to 640x480, so we can post it in the class room forum smile:D, maybe it renders better at that size or something? Or its a test to see if we follow instructions?

nah is just I want to go do something else so you know sod's law, things feel like they are taking far longer than they should smile;). Okay and Doh! I didn't change the lighting correctly with the other shape! But here's one, I might do the other one again after I have lunch and decide which I like the most, might post both here and get you guys to pick smile;)

At the moment yes, have to use the default setting for lighting.

That's okay, so long as I get it posted on the class forum by Friday it's fine smile:D.

Depending how I feel later I'll do one in colour too smile:D, mind there's loads of colour presets, metal, ice colours etc.

okay Lunch win's out, going to go take me and my book downstairs and have a sarny smile:D.

Sweet dreams Ron.

Mind with Xenodreams 2 weeks ago only way I could get images to show in it was using the random button that opened up the preset shapes, which are cool, but now I can make my own, and this is only week 2 of the course, so hopefully by week 7 I will know heck of a lot more smile:D.

Well, here it is. I told you it was stupid looking – I'm not the one that designed it. smile:( The head is a little lumpy but there are no seams, no intersurface penetration, and no unnecessary isoparms. I could make it perfect but I would not learn enough to justify the time. Time to move on.
This model looks much simpler than the Lamborghini, and it is, but it uses a different type of modeling called nurbs patch modeling. This type of modeling is not difficult but there are a lot of rules with a lot of things that can go wrong.
Now for the spider. The spider uses another type of modeling called subdivision surfaces. I look forward to learning what that is all about.

Big differences is mines made from one item that's been morphed etc. yours I bet took a lot lot longer to do. Kinda reminds me of a cartoon'ish astronaut smile:D
