Thanks Ramlyn, glad that you like it
Here is the new full version with 8 size levels, although still not finished, as I had to take away the edges as they were wrong, so I need to fix it This is using Half size cubes (each fractal cube is half from the previous) This is not exactly the same as the original design as seen in next post (or previous page end), because the original design is NOT a half cube, it seems to be a proportional 40% and still I am trying to do it as the example below. ![]() |

In my example, I made the triangular shape that you also made and I blended it with itself several times.
Here I filled it with an image, but maybe simply filling with a color and maybe adding a shadow could be interesting. |

Cool and well done, interesting and good idea. I wonder how you have done it and how it works My way is slow to render for all the 8 layers I have put, I do not know if it is because I am using loops after layer 4 or because there are 511 squares to be shown in total The edges are still in work in progress as I need to change them Here is the filter to show how I have done it On the Example above I have used a source image from Tile-O-Matic from Rachel Duim Triangle rotated fractal.ffxml |

The above filter I have put of Triangle Rotated fractal after doing a test I think that maybe has a performance problem in the filter as with default FF values
making a simple 2500x2500 of Preset 7 takes 5 hours and 11 minutes so I think this may be because of using the loops 12 times to position the squares or maybe is another reason, I do not know, I should test to do it without loops. here is shown below the test ![]() |

cool, will wait to see how is done
Seeing your idea it made me remember of another idea as if you say that what you say is like what is done in triangle shape blended itself, it may be also like a triangle string art like this one here below ![]() |

I have thought of Rollstar filter by Ramlyn, and have replaced the included shapes with lines and here is something made with strings although are not triangles, but circles
RollStar made with loops and LINES.ffxml |

Very interesting. We can try to develop different versions from this same filter, changing the shapes that are used as base.

There is an app on Android about Kaleidoscope tiling with different kind of triangular tiles available. Rachel Duim have already made the Tile-o-matic filter that includes different tiles but it could be done more like in this video

For previous Kaleidoscope idea, it would very good to have as source image to be repeated with these awesome and amazing ink on water made the artist Alberto Seveso
There are many images that have a triangular shape in the design and could be tiled well as for example the one here shown below For more about this you can see one of the artist websites burdu976.com And if you Google search in images tab for alberto seveso ink photography Or alberto seveso ink on water You will find lots more ![]() |

I have found this cool Circle divided with many squares and triangles filled with different colors that are rotating and I know that this surely could be done in FF
As far as I see it it would only need to make the squares in stripes and the triangles in the center stripe, and then apply a polar distortion to make it a circle as for example this but without polar mirroring. I still do not know if it would be possible to make the rings or stripes inside rotate individually, (as seen in the beginning of the video) have to see if it would be possible someway And it additionally have the awesome and amazing music of New Order - Blue Monday New Order - Blue Monday (Official Lyric Video) - September 2020 ![]() |

For the above one I have made already a simple test and have made it using bricks component and then applied the polar to make it circular but this all in one block, so if I want it to be able to rotate I should divide the blocks in individual stripes, and also to be able to have different kind of tiles and sizes as shown on the above example

Nice. It is a good idea, I think. You should create a filter from it and upload it.

Oh, yes!! this looks really awesome and amazing that you have been able to make so well the strings art idea, I tried myself but only could make one open triangle that looks close to it but not as good and great as you have done it Congratulations on making it, I will see your filter and test it, thanks really very much for making it and using the idea shown here. What I got instead right and well is this other example (that can complement what you have done) ![]() (Please go up to the original version that you can see it in full size when click on it) As this is easier to make as it is just a line rotating in a square using loops with 42 iterations, I will will show the result later when I finish it and send it to the FF Library |

The above ones are with square blocks of geometric shapes tiled randomly
And there is another interesting idea to make in FF and is is to have geometric shapes that could overlap and use the difference blend mode to create inverted areas and be able to color them as you may want Each shape would have optionally the line edges in another color if wanted Here is an example inspiration to show what I mean ![]() |

What is good about this, is that using the same design you could have lots of different variations with different colors and combinations as for example seen here below
As you can see all have exactly same design what changes is the colors to fill it. Grid seamless pattern with random geometric shapes and lines ![]() |

I have found these artistic alphabets created with geometric shapes and I think that these could be created maybe using FF and then use them to create artworks and mix them inside FF in different ways
Although is difficult in FF to create custom geometric shapes, I think it could be done And the main difference about making them in FF than in any other software is that you could customize the filling colors as you may want and have lots of different variations, and even you could fill the letters with custom images too, and not only with plain color ![]() |

And all the above ones are letters created with geometric shapes, but what about using NEGATIVE SPACE with geometric shapes to make the letters ?
This means that the letters themselves are black and what is around them is what gives the shape of the letter, so here is used these geometric shapes to create the black letters ![]() |
