My mind is blown anyway.. ssshhh smile;).. I need to focus more on projects, but I have my fingers in so many little pots that sometimes I forget other things I am doing.

But yep probably will have a go at that soon, downloaded blender the other day so will have to figure out how to use that as well.

Graphics can spread you pretty thin. I felt spread thin just from Illustrator and Photoshop. I guess you do not really need modeling since you have SL to put your textures. I want to make creatures and things so I need to learn modeling. It's a lot of fun but not for everyone. Even after modeling there will be texturing (hand painted and procedural) so it is a lot of work for someone without a strong desire to create things in that particular way. smile:)

hehe it's something I intend to learn but I think for now I better just work on improving what I am learning already smile:D. Creating 3d images and shapes interests me but there are a lot of stages to achieving the desired results. So am building up my skills slowly and learning as I go, so hopefully this time next year I will be creating 3d thing's like a pro smile;).. well like someone that thinks they are a pro hehe...

That sounds like a good idea. I will continue to post the progress caps because Carl likes to look at them and ahimsa will need something to compare Carrara to when she returns.

Cool, love seeing what other people are up too, and what you have done is well sweet. Plus far beyond me. Hope everything is okay with ahimsa.

um.. hehe well put it this way I never heard of Filter forge till 4 days before the first filter I sent in, but the FF is a different hat to 3d building. I mean I 3d build in SL but it's different cause the shapes are solid to start with and you just play with them, reshape, link together etc till you get your finished creation.

In someways it is similar but least it's easy to whip out the base shapes and stuff.

This is a nice website. Well designed, , simple, clean, nice looking, not too slow for what it does. I like how here it has the little green button that moves the green translucent screen with text.
I tried loading on my pda but it completely failed to load so it's not perfect. smile:)

I do not know yet. I want to do all I am able to. I have not yet determined what my practical limitations are. I have to be realistic. I may end up dipping ice cream at the local Dairy Queen. smile:| Oh that's right, this town doesn't have an ice cream store. smile:(

Come to think of it, if I had a food related job I would want it to be at a farmers market (I don't know what you call them. It is where farmers bring food (fruit, veggies, homemade bread and such) in from the surrounding area and sell it on the sidewalk.)

I thought that was interesting. They have worked on a lot of movies. It's odd how a movie will use a company for just a scene or two. In The World of Tomorrow they used ILM for just a few scenes. Same with Rising Sun. I wonder how they decide which is best suited for a give scene.

I'm trying that with maya as well. So far it has been a big mistake. I still end up doing a lot of coding while not knowing how. The thing is, at least in maya, is that the coding is inevitable.

Not yet. Material assignment is later. Materials and textures are closely related. The way it works now is that the instructor is skipping around a lot - he doesn't say why. Here are how the videos occur.

Wow that's pretty fancy - if you right click on any animation on a web site the last option will tell you if it is done in flash, which this one is, having not worked or own flash I don't what was done to achieve that, I wish I had flash smile:cry:

Now Beliria missing too? I bet they're both in another thread having pillow fights and putting lotion on each other. They just don't want us to know about it. smile:(

The implication of what you said is only beginning to sink in. You mean. She's ignoring us?! How could that be? Don't we talk about both Maya and Dreamweaver? smile:|

Im' not sure if there will be an engine. This car has it in the middle not up front.
I hope it gets harder. I'm in a hurry to get the the organic modeling. I like the mechanical things too but I mostly want to get good at living things.

I just chekced out the videos for FX Composer. It looks very powerful but also hard to use. I like how they added dropdown lists for programming but it still looks like a steep learning curve. I hope the next version of ff will do all of that. You can't beat ff's gui.

What did you have to do to get bigger land? Is it land on ground or floating land?

I was renting a plot with 900 odd prims from a friend who has island he has purchased in SL. I asked him if a larger plot comes free can I rent that. So it cost money to rent them. Well this is land on the ground but I could do a floating store if I wanted to part from I want to make use of the garden store on the island, thats next to my plot smile;). Is way pretty the way my friends built it.

Ok, just curious. It sounds like a lot of fun. How long have you been participating in SL?

Wow, almost three years. smile:beer: It must be very cool. Most games or other activities, even some marriages, begin to get old after that much time.
