McCain is being a total Bonehead!!!
![]() I just saw McCain's speach where he blames Obama for injecting politics into the bailout resolution process.....total rubbish!!! Last week, Obama attempted to get a bi-partisan solution released between himself and McCain.....and instead of trying to do that, McCain pulls a political stunt to undercut Obama by announcing that he's suspending his campaign, going to Washington to help with a resolution, and invites Obama to do the same.....for no other reason but to make himself look like he cares more about this country and make Obama look weak..... Bush ended up inviting both McCain and Obama to a meeting where Obama led off by setting guidelines to follow for a bailout proposal.....and McCain ended up saying absolutely nothing during this meeting..... Not too long ago, McCain admitted in a speech that he didn't know much about ecomonics.....he was right about that.....and it shows. McCain's campaign advisors are the ones "pulling the strings" to whatever McCain says about the economy...... The whole underlying problem with the bailout is that the House Republicans are trying to force the Democrats to push it through.....so the Rupublicans can go back to their constituents (who don't want the bailout) and say that they didn't vote for it..... Picking Palin to get the women's vote was bad.....but these desperate political stunts have made me loose all respect for McCain..... I can't say it enough.....McCain should have taken Romney as his running mate.....would have played perfectly into the current economic crisis..... Prediction: Romney will be president in four years after Obama!!! ![]() Steve

----Well, his trophy wife's father is the billionaire beer business man, there's no financial skill in the Mc Cain family that I'm aware of. Hell, he got shot down and captured in the war, sure, that could happen to anyone, but at least Boosh Jr. stayed home and didn't brag about being a "war hero" afterwards ha-ha. ----Meanwhile, how about this last minute money grab, even sending Mc Cain in and almost causing him to miss the debate didn't help their first attempt to get $700 billion free and clear. Maybe if they set up some parameters as to where the money would go, and a time frame for repaying it....Oh wait, they can't just say it's to line their pockets, ie - a going away present from George Jr., and that they don't intend to pay it back, no wonder it failed ha-ha. jffe Filter Forger |

Very true.....McCain did nothing on his own to get where he is now.....his wife's father set him up running a beer distributorship.....and all seven of his houses where paid for with his wife's inheiritance.....which explains alot of why McCain acts like a spoiled rich kid with a temper.....

Did any of you catch the Vise Presidential Debate last night???
Palin seemed like a very decent, likable person......but man, there's no way that she is vise president material....and we would be in a world of trouble if anything was to ever happen to McCain and she became president......yikes!!! ![]() I have to laugh at the all the Republicans who are running around proclaiming that Palin won the debate last night. I don't know what debate they were watching last night....but I guess Palin doing better than expected constitutes a win for them.... ![]() ![]() I thought Palin "ducked" every tough issue.....and just kept reiterating McCain's sound bites, word for word, over and over again.....with no answer for anything Bidon was saying..... Bottom line.....I came away from the debate with the reinforced conclusion that McCain made a "huge" mistake picking Palin.....while bolstering my respect for Joe Biden. I would be comfortable with Joe Biden stepping in as president.....but no possible way with Palin...... Steve

i didnt watch the debates. there were far better things to watch, like cartoons and commercials.
but my dad said today that he was impressed with her. then again, he hates obama, so anything the republicans do is going to sound good to him. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

I read the transcript afterwards (much faster than watching it *snooze*). Palin seemed almost literally incapable of answering any questions, more 'maverick' rhetoric mostly, that and wanting to not look back at what her running mate had voted for/against in the past but constantly mentioning what her opponent's running mate had voted for/against. Really tedious stuff. Almost as bad as the main one last week when Mc Cain kept piling on the false accusations about Obama's voting record and making Obama waste his rebuttal time correcting Mc Cain's nonsense. I can't wait til Obama wins the coin toss to start, Mc Cain's f*cked then, cause as long as Obama just talks about his own plans and what he wants to do as president and doesn't mention Mc Cain or his voting record, then Mc Cain will literally have nothing to say ha-ha.

----You make it sound like that's your only problem with Mc Cain, like that's the only thing keeping him from walking straight into the white house early next year. No offense, but Mc Cain is living in 1) the past, and/or 2) a fantasy world of white people who admire short rich ex-military liars. ----Hell, Obama was going on last night (the 2nd debate) about trying to help all those poor poor middle income families, worrying about keeping their homes, sending the kids to college, and getting good health insurance without needing to stop getting their $4 starbucks coffee each morning, or cancelling their netflix account. Quite frankly, those people might as well be royalty, they might as well be Bill and Melinda Gates to me (I cashed out about $10,800 last Feb, the 2nd half of my pathetic 401k, to live on in 2008 since I was broke from using the first $11,500 of it in 2007, and thank gawd I did cash it out in Feb before it lost more value eh). Obama's a rich motherf*cker compared to most everyone I know or have known in my entire life, and he's the poor ethnic candidate. Anyone making less than Obama's family (about 1/2 to 3/4 mil a year on average for say the past 4 years) who votes for Mc Cain, is seriously, flat out, clinically retarded. There's apparently not a huge amount to gain reality-wise with either of them running the show (since they both make 10X or way more, of what the average american makes a year), but there is a clear and very visible lesser of two evils in other ways, and his last name isn't Mc Cain. jffe Filter Forger |

Hey, I'm on your side.....
![]() ![]() I am a Republican-leaning Independent who wanted Romney for president.....because of his stance on economics, national security, immigration, and healthcare. Romney was the first to start a universal healthcare program here in Massachusetts.....and it's now proven to be a very successful model for it......even though it is creating a budget deficit..... Obama is the 'lesser of two evils' to me as well.....but I do like his healthcare plan......and I especially like his ideas on wiping out the terrorists in Pakistan and Afganistan as a means to finally ending the war in Iraq. I believe if you don't do this first, the war in Iraq is going to go on forever.....because they will keep on sending terrorist factions into Iraq from Afganistan and Pakistan if they are not "nipped in the bud". Further, I agree with Obama's idea to just go in and get them if those governments try to do do anything to stand in the way of it. I don't care how it makes us look with the international community.....this GD war needs to be brought to an end by any means possible.....so we can start attending to the huge problems going on right here at home..... I was kind of disappointed that Ron Paul was not on my ballot. But I guess he would've needed to get in with another already certified/recognized politcal group for that to happen ? Ralph Nader is never going to get it, but good for him for trying I guess. If any 3rd group stands a chance someday in the future (ie = not this timeat all, sorry ha-ha), it might the 'constitutionalists', but like most of the others (there were like 8 or so choices on my ballot, seemed like kind of a lot in a way) they just won't take the good and avoid/ignore/stop talking about the bad or questionable. In the case of Ron Paul, he was too anti-goverment in even like ways that I would almost agree government might be helping us. For instance, I literally heard him say that the states should handle drugs, as far as their illegality, that the federal government should have no say whether the state of California wants to make heroin legal. Stuff like that, which while maybe "constitutional" in one interpretation, is never going to sell to the average person because it just goes against most people's common sense (even if it is limiting their rights having heroin being illegal ha-ha).
Anyways, I went for whom I considered the lesser of 2 evils, and rather than suggest you all vote for anyone in particular, let me just say, please do vote, maybe this time the grown ups will count them and things can get back on track etc. ![]() jffe Filter Forger |

i think there's only one thing that can prevent obama from winning at this point and that would be voter apathy. if all the obama voters decide that he's a shoe-in and consequently decide to stay home becuase they dont need to vote now, that would be the only way.

I've never seen the Republicans being this desperate before.....man, talk about making some serious leaps to unsubstantiated conclusions. I had to laugh when Obama stated ".....next, John McCain will be calling me a communist because I shared my peanut butter and jelly sandwich with someone in Kindegarten....."
![]() ![]() Palin is a complete disaster.....stating that they should put money into finding cures for Autism, etc......then stating that they should cut funding for research on fruitflies. Come to find out, the fruitfly research is with proteins towards finding a cure for Autism, etc. She is a total moron who doesn't have a clue about anything.....accept for spewing soundbytes as McCain's lapdog!!! I can't believe that some are calling Palin the future of the Republican Party.....as the potential Republican presidential nominee in 2012.....they must be out of their frick'n minds!!! The Republicans might as well nominate 'Crusty the Clown'.....the stupidity couldn't get any worse...... ![]() Steve
