Here is the target of the desktop shortcut. You can see this by right clicking on the icon and selecting properties
"C:\Program Files\Filter Forge\Bin\Filter Forge.exe"
In other words, this is the one ff intended. @ronviers

Thanks! that would be great. I hate going to the website where they give you the specially rendered scenes instead of what you really get.
I will check it tomorrow. Have a good one. @ronviers

I recently had to reinstall from backup due to a virus. I was messing around trying to find free software that would allow me to duplicate movie dvd's and I got a virus. I'm never going to screw around again. @ronviers

I guess I never really knew. After I went out messing around, (just before my trip to Phx) maya stopped working. I cut over to backup and it worked again. I didn't try to track it down. I do not use any virus software because my machine is too slow. @ronviers

Sometimes FREE has a catch. Take your pick: Virus, Viruses, is only a trial period (once hooked they slap the price on you), it's not legit, mind there are some cool free stuff online like Gimp and such that are cool freebies. ::shoves her pessimism back in its box:::
On a down note OMG one episode of Doctor Who to watch!! Mind theres something called Boneknockers or something like that, thats about to start... wonder if thats on instead.. I'll Miss watching Doctor Who...

Okay my brain was just shocked into wakefulness after thinking about Doctor Who.. Hero's finishes this week too, Chuck finished last night, OMG! I'm running out of cool TV program's to watch! Think I need to go and check the TV mag for next week.. either that or start buying DVD's again...
and Horror films! No thank you.. give me a sci-fi/fantasy film thats all I ask.. that or a good comedy.
Nice to see you around ahimsa hows the little one? And have you got that tent up yet . Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

Oh yea those freebies with the goofy stuff you really have to watch..Also you have to watch for the stuff that people sell also..Like taking gimp slapping ONLY new graphics on it then selling it for $50 as the new Innovative graphics application of the year...(This is only an example)..But this sort of stuff does happen....
Thats the stuff that I was talking about... Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times!

you mean you were speaking of open source sofwares ? those are open source so others may improve them and share the different results, not take and claim as their own..
It's just like the people grabbing all the free textures from the free texture sites, grab all the jpg from FF and genetica, crop all the wall murals drawing and ornamental architecture from the different shops and antique websites, buy all the cd textures they can, then open a mega "toys r us" of textures inside SL and sell them at 1kL$ per set claiming those as their own whilst constantly threatening residents with their 'copyright' bollox just to assure themselves the exclusivity on the illegal income.
Whatever the subject may be, what is given free (if given-not taken) is meant to be free and used and improved then reshared so others may do the same. There are opportunist in all areas. Its sad.
No matter what you get anyway it's good to make sure you get it from who really made it for you are assured of the best quality of what you intent to use..
The person who sells it but didn't make it cant help you much if something goes wrong
