They have the DMCA, but it is very difficult to have anyting done. Someone needs to provide the full names, full name of items as it shows in Second life, the coorditates (x,y,z) of every locations where each illegal sales takes place, it's a very tireing and complicated process, which too often results in no one doing anything to correct the issue.

There are quite a few artits at Renderosity whom have had their creations stolen and sold in SL and did all they could to correct the situation without any success, Linden did not do anything (I'm not saying they could have).

that is so often the problem it is either way to complicated or will cost, and there is no punishment and the exploiter know all this.......... so your fight fire with petrol idea is great smile:)

Mirrormask
One of the best things about Sky Captain, and there are many, is that the dvd had hours and hours of special features. It has two commentary versions, the first is with the producer and the second is with the director and couple of experts from the vfx crew. They were both interesting and I think it's better to listen to the producer's first. There is also a section on the artwork and two section about how it was made. Finally there is a small area called 'more' that has the original six minute short. They tell an amazing story of a new way to bring a movie into existence.
Mirrormask also has excellent special features. The commentary version is with director Dave McKean! and writer Neil Gaiman. In the 'making of' section there is an extended q and a with McKean and Gaiman that is interesting.

Don't forget to consider Pan's Labyrinth too. smile:)

I just checked Mirrormask. Wow! Only four million to make. It is amazing they could produce it for that. Probably because it's English and not Hollywood. It lost money too. smile:(

It seems that explaining what brought the idea in the first place might have given a
wrong idea as of my intentions.. there is no fight. There are no expectations.

The idea is obviously seen as a threat, it does not mean that it is done -to- fight..
there may indeed be good sides to this, but they are not the main reasons for it and
they certainly wont change how the world turns.. The basic idea is as simple:

There is a need of free textures, I am happy to provide them.
But I didn't make them, you did.
So You being ok with it matters as it is moraly yours, and you get the credit for it.

All I am responsible for is to have the idea and make it reality

"On the side" it may also be something humanly nice as it seems that today people
have a problem with crediting others (dont ask me why) and I am proud to do it, even
take a particular attention for it as I find it is well disurved. Or don't you believe you do ?

Maybe FF is -that- good, idk.. lol
I wish I would.. smile;)

This seems fun to play with.. smile:)

FF is fun to use smile;)

I get tired of the modern attitude of everyone for themselves , exploit everything, make as much money out of everything as you can get away with, callous greed is the norm - so I like the idea of freely sharing filters and it sadden me when people sell them and claim them as there own even slapping a copyright notice on them. And yes we all need to make money to survive but there has to be honesty, integrity and fairness............. ok getting off my soapbox now smile:blush: smile:)

Patrick Troughton was my favorite Doctor followed William Hartnell and the guy who kicked of the first series when it was resurrected - as for the companions I use to like Jo [ cause I though she was cute ] Sarah Jane Smith [ cause she was fiesty ] and I quite liked the black chic [ her name escapes me ] smile:) They recently re-ran the classic series [ except the one they taped over smile:evil: ] and now as an adult they pretty corny with flimsy sets [ that the old B&W ones ] smile;)

Black Chick in Doc Who is Martha Jones, Actress Freema Agyeman, she's in a few of the Torchwood episodes.

Mind next weeks looks wow.. looks like they have merged Doctor Who and Torchwood in that one... and thats all I will say smile;) smile:D. Just seen the preview for it after watching yesterdays Doctor Who.

And surprisingly Donna Noble aka Catherine Tate is rather good, never could get into her comedy skit, but +10 as a Doctor Who side kick. Brings a different element to the series, touch of humour without turning it into a comedy fast.

They so don't have enough sci-fi, fantasy type series at the moment.. mind never really have. Plus 9 times out of 10 when they do the series dies/vanishes etc like Firefly.. that was cool, Dark Angel, The 4400, The Journeyman and many many more smile:(

If only she wouldn't keep falling down all the time! But yes, she had attitude and didn't let the Doctor push her around. AND she could smart-off Harry with apomb. smile;)

Favourite doctors: Tom Baker, definitely. Of course, I have a thing for men with big hawkish noses... smile;) I haven't seen any Hartnell or Troughten, unfortunately, but I liked Pertwee. Poor Peter Davidson: I liked him personally, and he made an excellent Tristan in "All Creatures Great and Small," but I'm not sure he was the best choice for a Doctor, though maybe that was also the writing. I didn't get to see Sylvester McCoy much, but what I saw, I liked.
I'm trying to forget Colin Baker and his floozie companion entirely, thanks. smile:puke:

I LOVE both the new Doctors. In fact, I loved Christopher Eccleston so much that it took me a while to warm up to David Tennant, though I now worship him with equal enthusiasm. smile:D "Blink" is the best new episode EVAH!

lol Carl, this is so cute.. I've been through this too. Very young I had conviced a sitter that it was ok I see some horror movie she wanted to watch. It was in fact the very first Halloweeen.. should have seen poor little girl me when at some point someone turned a chair and there was sitting someone dead with needles in her eyes.. and later the guy turning on the heat of those electric bubble bath to see someone cook in it.

Took me years to get over the needles thing and to stop freezing everytime someone was sitting turning his back on me, afraid of seeing the chair turning around.. and just when I got over that, my grand-parents bought an electric bubble bath smile:|

Has been two series but I think this Saturday's Doctor Who has the Torchwood Gang in, and I really really hope they don't kill them/Torchwood off, cause I would love to see Torchwood series three.

Wow.. Blake 7.. Not heard that mentioned in years.. used to watch that when I was a kid. That and Joe 90, Battlestar Galatica, Bionic Woman/man, Wonderwoman, Sapphire and Steel, um Flash Gordon, and Doctor Who!! Mind I must admit some of the Doctor actor choices don't seem to work so well. John P, Tom Baker, and both of the New Doctors, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant, are my frav's.

Mind trying to remember the one that played the Doctor for a short period, think was two mini Doctor Who Christmas editions.. Okay have to go do a google to find out.
