Lumpia is made with hamburger, carrots, onions, garlic, and soy sauce and then wrapped in lumpia wrappers and fried like egg rolls. You can use eggroll wrappers if you can't find the lumpia wrappers, but they are much thicker. Lumpia wrappers are thin like filo (sp?) The stuff they use for baklava (sp?).

I haven't had mincemeat in filo dough, but I have eaten it during the holidays a few times. I liked it.

Ron, we've all been really busy here and there seems to be no time for things like installing ram. That baby is 8 handfuls and when the kids aren't working they have him and Paul and I rest up for the next round. The kid can crawl now so he moves fast. I have lost 10 pounds in the past few weeks so that should tell you how much of a handful he is. smile:D

I was looking at your SL products - very noice smile:) - I know very little about SL, how do you earn money to pay for your products or is it have an real monetary value, is there objectives or is it more an interaction society - what is it you do there........... curiosity to your addiction smile:)

There's plenty of options for money in SL.

1) you can upload money from your bank account/paypal etc,
2) you can camp in game or collect money from money trees that people have on their land or stores (money trees are time set though once you reach 30 SL days old you can't collect from them any more)
3) you can learn a skill, scripting, building, um texture selling etc, and rent land in world or sign up to a texture store etc, and sell your products, (or give them away, your choice)

To me theres a lot more to sl than just an interaction society. But like most online games/simulations etc, everyone comes out with different ideas of what they think of them.

I have made some pretty good friends in there, learned skills like building, using the 3d prims to create objects.
smile;) am going to use the money I have accumulated in SL from sales to buy FF, mainly cause I wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise (not saying FF is expensive just under current situation money goes on bills, had to quit my job due to ill health last year, and its bloody hard getting a new job! Argh!).

Did try to learn scripting but I just know some of the basics, just not enough time when in SL to learn everything, specially for someone that loves building.. means stopping building to learn scripting smile;).

Anyhow..

There's a lot that goes on in second life, lots of little communities, basically cater for nearly every taste, from them that love Steampunk, to vampires, or regular Joe's like me that just love building/creating items, to singer's (or wannabes) that you can hire or go watch, DJ's, basically you can be what you want to be in SL. Be yourself or create an alter ego, or live out some bazaar fantasy you have. I mean CSI even have an island where you can go be a detective! lol

Hehe, I sound like a second life spokes person. It's not to everyones taste but exploring is really a must, if you don't explore you wont find out what SL is really like, or find your niche.

Although I am currently semi taking time out from SL (I pop in for a few hours every couple of day's rather than logging in every day), just under 2 month shy of my 2nd year in second life! Longest I have ever played an online game (well excluding a couple of text based ones).

lol and now you know a little bit more about me smile;) smile:D

um.. smile:| the recent's in the library haven't been updated since the 11th, I better stop sending in filters till they do! smile:D, might do a post with some images in though smile;)

Right have to go empty the washing machine, and grab something to um eat.

I like steampunk.

Do you have to hang out at this place or is there a shop where you can upload your textures and stuff for sale?

BTW...Hi!

Been working in FF for the last few hours on a new fabric filter. I like it so far.

Oh yeah, baked 4 dozen cookies tonight and will bake the rest tomorrow. Man, it's been years since I have felt good enough to do that. Very good feeling. Maybe the baby is all I needed to get well.

He doesn't call me Baboombah anymore, he calls me Mom-mom. Close enough... smile:D

Hehe, Ahimsa if your talking about Second life, no you don't have to stay in one place although some people do set the area's they own to allow only friends etc.

And you can upload textures into Second life is 10 linden dollars each which is like about um.. well it's around approx 1000LD (linden dollar) to 4 USD's. Most that do sell textures in Second life sell them for 5LD plus but with licenses/TOS saying no reselling as a texture (basically people can make something and use the said textures on them and sell that item but not the textures as is).

If you do sell textures in SL theres a few ways to go about it, buy/rent land and open your own store or join one of the existing stores as an Artist.

I signed up to a long established texture store in Second life to keep that part away from my build selling. Was how I heard about Filter forge through the group messages for that stores artists. Totally having way to much fun making filters though! Hehe, so much so I got around to buying it before my one month trail expired.

I think Rose English? Mentioned something about texture houses on a thread somewhere in here, turns out I know her in Second life.

And yep steampunk is cool I went over to Caledonian (think thats the name of the main steampunk area in SL) and was like wow. To be honest SL is worth exploring, there are some very very stunning builds, whole fantasy islands with different theme's that residents have built, using prims and textures.

Anyway if anyone does sign up and want to explore IM me in game, am the only Beliria so will be easy to find.. unless someone else has started using that name too, if so just look for the oldest Beliria smile;). If I'm not logged in will arrange a time to meet in world and I'll show you the ropes. Mind I'll probably have to do a list of wow places to visit just in case smile:D.

Right think will go and upload some images for you lot to browse and let me know how bad/good they are smile;) smile:D

Thanks everyone! All year I thought I was already 52 and then 3 weeks ago I realized that I was only 51. That's the 3rd time I've done that. When I was 34 I thought I was 35 until it was just weeks before my birthday. When I was 40 the same thing happened. Am I the only one that has this problem? smile:D

My mental age is pretty low. I think I may be mentally out of my teens now. smile:D

Then again, considering my favorite Yahoo winks and sound effects are the gross ones...maybe 14 - 15 mentally. smile:D

I am working on textures at the moment and then I will get back to the filter I was working on. I kind of messed with it too much and may have broken it. smile:eek: ... smile:D

Ouch! Easy to do when messing with them, I try and do a save as when I open a filter that I plan on tinkering a lot on, just in case I mess it up or end up with a totally different filter altogether.

Mind slightly different have only been doing this for just under a month. Probably have a fraction of the filters you have in your 'my filters' list.

oo sweet filter am playing with at the mo thought I had messed up one of the presets by limiting the repeat slider! But seems it was only set to 2/1 on repeat anyway smile:D.

Mothers day in the UK depends when Lent is basically, so every year it's different.

Took some time but found this on Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_moon

Lent falls before Easter starting at the beginning of the Lent moon cycle (late Winter moon). The next moon is the Egg moon (early Spring moon) and Easter usually falls on the first Sunday after the full Egg moon.

So depending on the date of that moon, depends when Ash Wednesday is which is the start of Lent, which has a knock on effect as to when the 4th Sunday is during the lent period. 4th Sunday = Mothers day.

smile:D much better if it's a fixed date but it's not here. Every year its like okay whens Mothers day this year! Can fall either in March/April, but am sure it has also been in early May once or twice.. could be wrong though.

Seen as I seem to be in history/whatever mode smile;) smile:D
