wouldn't that be like a stone baked pizza base

The hallmark of a biscuit (in the States) is that they are small. I guess that's what is throwing me. Are you making tiny pizzas? I like the idea of little bitty pizzas.

You can make plain, savory or sweet scones, and use a verity of flour.

Here you can only make plain. If you make them sweet they turn into pastries like cinnamon rolls or cupcakes. However, they can be made out of any kind of flour and have a variety of textures. I like the fluffy ones with thin layers.

Yes, I like your clotted cream - I had it while I was there. smile:)

We call them crackers. Stale things are discarded. smile:)

Heck no... well I have done but thats for parties smile;). for a meal is um about an 8 inch pizza.

Ooo... yummy clotted cream with ice-cream!

Um.. then them would be cinnamon rolls or cupcakes not scones. Hehe... smile:D

Yep we have um.. various sorts of crackers. Edible and non edible (unless your a cannibal).

So probably our biscuits are verging onto crackers but with a bit more substance.

Let me guess Carl, Australian's have biscuits, but they have layeurs instead of layers and the batter has to be stirred counter clockwise. smile;) smile:)

Can you solve this puzzle?

You are riding on a beautiful white horse.
On your left side is a drop off.
On your right side are several ostriches being chased by a lion.
In front of you are four large gazelles that won't get out of your way
and you can't seem to overtake them.
Behind you is a stampede of horses.
What must you do to get out of this highly dangerous situation?
