Oh no! Hdri is vital in Maya. It's used like in FF.

That rig is not my design. I built it but by using instructions from a big time character TD from ILM and Dreamworks. He did the rigging for things like 'The Mummy Returns' and 'The Matrix Reloaded'.

what is 'TD'? and not quite sure what i'm looking at in your rig, but it looks complicated. it's not completely alien; i have played with gtkradiant (a 3d game map developing software), but i think we're talking apples and oranges here smile:) is it one of those wire frame model animation things?

here's one i did using 'the monster', ron smile:) i ran this one from psp using FF in plugin mode. i dont normally do that, but i may more after seeing this one smile:)

I think TD stands for technical director but titles mean very specific things and I'm not sure what it includes. I don't know about gtkradiant and how it compares to what I'm doing but it's probably very similar.
I have been trying to rally but I have some kind of stomach/muscle thing and it's difficult to hang. smile:puke: smile:dead:

ok, thanks for TD.

gtkradiant is a 3d levels (maps) design program for ID software type games, like quake and wolfenstein and that sort. it's probably somewhat primitive compared to maya and some of the others, since it's specific to one game type. but, it can do terrain, models, lighting and so on.
