Curious! ( Spock stylee!)

Here is something I would like to know. Do you have a set idea in your mind when you are making filter of what you want it to look like at the end result or is it just random the filters you make?

For me it's both. I used to almost always have a plan but later I got better at plugging things in at random. Sometimes, on my way to making something else, I would notice and effect I liked and start in a new direction. Lately I have not had time to ff so I have done neither - mostly just tinker with old ideas. smile:)

Hi there Ron and Co

How are ye all doing? I've been very angry at my pc this morning. I had a programme installed on my pc and I wanted to uninstall it as it was affecting another programme from running. And when I uninstalled it, it took just about all my programmes with it, including all those on the start menu. I had to use system restore. I was really angry. Looks like I can't delete the programme without it taking all my other ones too.

I can't understand how one programme can take just about all others with when being uninstalled. smile:evil:

Maybe you should take a look at Microsoft's 'Windows Installer CleanUp Utility' called 'msicuu2.exe'. It is used to remove unwanted programs from Windows that will not otherwise uninstall. There is a link provided in the article to download it. smile:)

----Gotta pre-make a folder for any app yer about to install, that usually helps avoid those kinds of blackhole uninstalls. It is a cam add-on called Manycam. Its a nuisance programme if you ask me and one that I wouldn't recommend anyone to download with all the trouble it caused for me smile:evil:

i assume you mean cam = camera and not cam = cam/cad. you might also take a look at a couple programs i've used or heard about that have good results. Norton's Clean Sweep is supposed to be good and one of my favorites is 'Total Uninstall' (TU). this last one is quite clever. you run it and then you use TU to install your program. it keeps track of EVERY API action your installed program used to install itself. in other words, it tracks and logs everything your program installer does. if it sticks something in the registry, then TU keeps track of it. if it hides something in documents and settings, TU logs it. nothing can be installed that TU doesnt see and log. when it comes time to get rid of the program, TU does all the work because it knows where everything is. it's a very handy program.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

LOL..... I always end up renting a bike wherever I go on vacation.....last trip, I rented a Harley in Vegas and took a nice long trip to Hoover Dam.....I parked in a restricted "authorized personel only" spot on the Dam.....and security ended up detaining me for about an hour while they ran a check on me.....as though I might be a terrorist planting a bomb or something.....then just released me with a warning not to park there again..... smile:|

Good idea but be sure to drain the water before you return it. Most of those Harleys do not have windshields so you will want to clean the fish out of your teeth smile:D or they will suspect something.

That's the one. Maybe the largest public works project in the history of man. It sure did displace a lot of people and reek havoc on the environment but it is cleaner than burning coal. smile:| It's not really on my top fifty but I would like to see it. What I would really like to see are places like the Seychelles, Galapagos, New Zealand, Yellowstone, Easter Island etc. At the bottom of the list would be places like Las Vegas and Disney World. What I would really like to do is walk across one of those rope bridges in the mountains of Peru. smile:eek:

I walked across this bridge when I was a little kid. It scared the holy crap out of me. It was made of lumber with large gaps between each slat - I could see right down to the bottom. Honest to god I thought I was going to fall through those gaps. When I got out to about the center, here comes this nut in a car that starts shaking it. I had no idea they allowed cars!smile:eek: I was certain we would all die.

Man, you ain't kiddin. I was just reading up on it, check this out.
It's the highest suspension bridge in the world, it has 1,300 wooden planks, it was built in 1926 and only took 6 months. That sounds like a recipe for disaster. Did I mention it swayed side to side several feet.

Not me. I hope Craig is ok. One of the nice things about where I live is that we have some incredible thunderstorms.
This is one of the windiest places in the States. There is a wind farm nearby and several more going up. I love the wind because it keeps the gnats (they bite) and mosquitoes at bay.
