I got the idea from Betis's Yin&Yang filter. When I checked I realized there was another one by Bentski that has been in the gallery for a long time. Betis's is perfect but I could not get mine to work out. smile:(

Now there is fifty percent more yin and exactly the same amount of new yang. I have rigged it so each yin color is the contrast color complement of the yang color. Each yin distortion is flipped and inverted for the yang distortion.

Ok. I tried every trick I could think of to make it brighter without loosing too much saturation and contrast. I lost to glow since it wasn't really helping. If you can think of anything else, let me know. It's not as good as the regular one but maybe it will help for now.

I forgot to connect the reflection disable buttons. Here is a sample with them disabled. Here is the corrected one. smile:)

You don't mind that I am making them pink do you?

This new one loads a bit slower, but when I get rid of the background it does speed it up. These can be used better without the background.

Yeah, that's what Redcap was saying. The new version I submit will have the transparency but it will make dark ones.

I'm going to stop ff-ing with my own balls though. smile:| I think I got ff out of my system for a while - time to get back to work. smile:)
It kills me that I could not do the math to make them perfect, but i'm just not a technical guy. smile:cry: I'm satisfied that I tried very hard so I'm not going to beat myself up about it.

I have seen some Pisces signs that are just symbol shapes rather than the two entwined fish.

Was working on getting Christmas out of the way, and doing things in SL to try and boost sales, cause things have been pretty slow the past few months probably due to the credit crunch.

At the moment though am trying to get my web site sorted.. trying being the word..

I let myself get distracted by compositing. I like compositing very much, nothing in 3d made sense until my introduction to compositing, but I need to get back to my Maya project - plus I have been briefly distracted by ff but that was just for christmas. smile:) So this week it will be nothing but Maya.

This latest texture is a perfect example. I just checked, the first save of the yin yang filter was at 6:30 Wednesday evening and I only just finished it. That's four plus, solid days - and I mean solid. smile:| Even after all that, I'm not close to being happy with it. smile:( smile:hammer:

Take a break from it. I have noticed if I am spending to much time fiddling with a filter I end up making it worse. Give it a few days to a month then have another go.

I think I made it better, but way slower than it needs to be. I slapped a band-aid on it for brightness and the sphere math is effed up. I will revisit it someday.
The good news is that I learned the consequences of working with a monitor set too bright. smile8) I reduced the brightness but now I have too much red in the whites and the midtone neutral looks blue. smile:( If it isn't one damn thing it's another.
I know how to fix that but I don't know how much screwing around I will have to do. smile:|
