FF really brings that out in me. Maya, not so much. More now than it used to, but it has been difficult to wrap my mind around all the nodes - has to be at least a thousand. smile:|

Just checked. There are only 627 nodes, that's a relief, but there are around 1200 mel commands. smile:|

I bet if you include everything in the Bryce suite(or is it Daz suite? I can't remember which is on top) you will have every bit as much complexity. But don't worry, doing a gross count of nodes and commands is very misleading. Most people have their small area, like modeling, which only use a small subset of the nodes and many people never access the mel commands at all. smile:)

Well, since I have not used it for years, there may be nothing wrong with it. But back in the olden days (mid to late nineties) it would allow websites to install malware and addware without telling. Good luck.

Hi Carl! smile:love: Glad you could see it.

Happy belated Thanksging everyone. We went to Daniel's in-laws place for dinner. We had a great time there. We've been invited for Christmas as well. Weird, in-laws getting along with each other. It was at Ronda's Grandmother's home and that is some home! It's the largest log cabin home I have ever been in. Ronda's sister and Grandmother cooked and baked all kinds of foods. There was so much of it that we could only takes small samples of half of what was there before we were stuffed full.

I hated IE years ago because it was always causing me problems, now it works great.

Beliria, what will you cover in class this week? Do you have any homework yet? smile:)

Just to prove that I have been doing something, here is a cap of part of what I have been working on. Notice in the lower left corner, that little yellow thing (labeled Segments). That's my hud gui. I know, not very impressive, but I had to learn a lot of new concepts to get it displayed and functional. Notice it indicates 30 - my script takes that number, along with the characteristics of the lines that are displayed in the middle of the screen, and builds a the node network you see on the right. Eventually it will do a lot more. smile:|

More in-depth usage of textures. Get to colour a 3d house with textures!!
Did the examples parts just have to finish the homework part.. would have got that done today but been out and about today doing chore's like shopping for food and stuff. So will do that later tomorrow after I have been back to the Doc's for week two attempt to get blood from my veins... smile:( Fricking still got the bruise on the back of my hand from the third attempt last week smile:cry:..

Um.. I like alcohol sometimes but I'm not a great drinker.. thanks to my ex-step Dad who was. Honestly don't see the point in getting drunk till your sick or can't remember what you did. Granted in my future there may be a time I can see the point to the latter...

Ordinarily I'm against incarceration for non-violent offenders but in the case of driving under the influence I realize that the gravity of the offense needs to be made clear – even for first offenders. My wish is that the incarceration be combined with psychological therapy for addictive personality disorder.

I agree whole-heartedly.....it's criminal recklessness as far as I'm concerned.....they're not giving a damn about the fact that they could kill innocent people with their stupidity.....so I believe that jail time and at least a three-year probation without alcohol should be imposed on first-time offenders.....those knuckleheads need to be taught a lesson right out of the gate.....and not wait until they actually hurt or kill someone in their second or third offense to do something serious about it.....just my humble opinion.....

Not always. Often it's a teen with his/her friends in the car, laughing, listening to music, joking around - without a care in the world - not one criminal thing going through their heads. Then someone ends up injured or dead and everyone's life is ruined. smile:cry: I think the incarceration for them would be for purposes of reflection and treatment - for the average person the ongoing guilt is more than enough punishment. There needs to be some grace in our justice system - because it is often beyond the capacity of the victim to offer any. IMO

Personally, I don't think teens having a good time, not thinking, and being stupid is any kind of excuse for it. They need the "fear of God" put in them as a deterent to doing it.....because as it stands, the consequences are not severe enough to be taken deathly serious by everyone.....

Trust me......you would feel differently if you lost your wife and two young children to a group of teens who were out drinking and driving.....which happened to a friend of mine.....

It is biology. It is the same thing that enabled me to sustain injury after injury riding my dirt bikes and the thing that allows our kids to die for us in wars. Evolution has deemed it vital for us to go through a period of not being able to put 2 and 2 together.

unfortunately, that doesnt work very well. it just doesnt build the necessary responsibility levels. it can work for the short term, somewhat, but not the long.
