I just dreamed my neighbors (not real neighbors, just general purpose dream neighbors) were restoring a ship. It involved a lot of cutting with a gas torch. It was a very pretty dream. smile:)

Had a peek at some of it, and we are doing lighting this week for the exercises, not peeked at the homework part yet cause want to do that first. Think I started doing them last night but my head was hurting so I gave up.

Corel is having an arty competition. What you do is pick a poem from the list, download the trial of corel painter x and then make a picture and upload it, anyway here's the link has more info smile:D

Are you going to enter? I remember from my contest days at Worth1000.com how difficult it was coming up with a winning idea that was within my capabilities. In those competitions we only had 48 hours so but the quality was surprisingly high. I bet they get a lot of very good entries because the topic is broad enough that a lot of people will have projects they have shelved that they can pull out and adapt. I have heard many good things about Painter - I would like to have it but I had better stay focused on my current project.

got my fingers in enough pies already without adding this, specially as you say I bet it will be high quality art that's entered. Need time to make stuff like that.

Am planning on trying to get my web site sorted before December... as well as get a grip with Hexagon, cause if I can get the hang of that 3d program then things will be easier for others of a similar nature but more advanced. That and the Bryce class am taking and um getting new stock sorted in my SL store.. oh and sleep smile:D, here's the assignment 2 class work for this week smile:D

Good luck. I do not find web site design enjoyable at all.

Is Hexagon the renderer for Bryce?

Here are the light nodes available in Maya. Probably about the same in Bryce.

Here is the camera node - which goes hand in hand with lighting. This is the same camera with each instance of the attribute editor showing more if its attributes. As nodes go 'Camera' is a pretty big one. It's cool how many of the attributes are the same as a real camera. smile:)

I sure don't understand the split. It seems like they are taking something intrinsically complicated and making it even more complicated. Can't you do modeling with Bryce? And even Daz too? Why do they have Hexagon? Is it just me or is there a lot of redundancy?

The one with trees had a radial light in as well part from it just got in under the FF max file size radar. Last night I was pretty tired and wanted to head to bed without having to open loads of other applications smile;).

to a degree, you can reshape and resize things in Daz studio and Bryce, but actual model build from scratch not really, they use obj objects and such.

here is the image with lighting, took me a little while to realise the difference between the one without lighting and this one.

lol. that's a good one. i used to get the one from Nigeria about helping someone transfer bank funds, but yours is better smile:)

i think when i die i'll have all my assets liquidated and inform my lawyer to contact steve saying that if he will only send $1000.00 to the lawyer, he may receive all my funds. the catch is he wont know it's from me, so it will look like a scam. he'll refuse it, of course, and miss out smile:D

lol

Thing is there are that many scams out there that if something is legit people would probably avoid it thinking it's a scam, which is bad really smile:(, cause loads of things get effected by all these scam artists, for one Charities end up suffering because it's so easy to fake legit things now that people are never 100% sure if its the real deal or not.
