This is very impressive. I wonder how much of the gui is done for the person doing the rigging? So Glitch is in Daz not Bryce? Daz is where you do the posing?

not sure about the gui for the person making the item/creature etc, but would love to know how they make things smile:D and what software they use etc.. lol.

Yep Glitch is a Daz studio critter, some of them can be used in poser too, but Daz studio unlike poser is free. You can do a lot in it, the first image I posted of the elf was fully done in Daz studio, back ground and all. You put hair, clothing (if you want clothing on them), scenes, poses etc in there. I didn't need to move glitch over to Bryce I just wanted to see if I can do it smile:D seen as it has that feature.

Very cool. You know, you could really tell a story with Glitch. He's no Balrog but he's cute as a button.

The trees could use better displacement and there is a seam on the one in the foreground. It would be easy to move the seam but I wonder how difficult it would be to get a better bump map. How long did it take to render that? What resolution did you render it at?

Bah! Didn't see that! Was more a demo for you anyway smile:D.
Not sure what resolution it was didn't look probably 72ppi, took about 5 mins to render at 860x640 size.

Am sure can put Terragen images into Bryce.. am sure I have seen some on 3d commune that say Terragen tweaked in Bryce etc, and via versa, you can make terrain maps in Bryce and use them in Terragen smile:D.

Okay just got a message from someone I don't know asking me if I am me, by my real name.. oo mind boggles.. wonder if I know them in rl or via a forum or something lol!

I think a clearcoat would specify subsurface scattering as well as a different refractive index and added bounces.

awwh.. to be honest I wasn't even too sure about uploading them to the site, I know the ones on here the license says we can use etc etc but still feel a bit funny about it all. I mean haven't even used any textures from anyone else's filters in my SL texture store. Tempting too though cause all the great filters there are. Mind think I have used a few effect types over things, and Dilla's cog one over textures I put together but not actual texture type ones.

okay the one to the left is a texture I made using a mixture of filters, think one was Carl's grunge and had mixed it with a few other effects overlaying them.

The sphere was a water like texture I was messing with using the material lab mixing bits together.

think I still need to figure out the uploading texture bit because can't play with them in the lab mixing, just keeps going to the image texture function which I used to upload the texture. Then when you have uploaded them you save them in the library, then export it as a .mat file and bingo you have your mat file.

Oh the picture above the sphere is two toned because I put the cylinder shape part inside so I could see the transparency better. smile:D

Thing is there are loads of cool filters and little gem's that I think most of us miss because of how many filter's there are to pick from. That and download them and then forget which part of the library they can be found in. I kinda like the naming like what Stevie does, makes them far easier to find smile:) or if there is some way to set the library up that rather than filter names you can set it to creator name, mind I probably should start using the frav function.. um that and get more sleep some time smile:D

So far, my attempts to get rid of it, which consist of coffee and debugging a mel script, have all failed. If it keeps up I will get some pain pills but a goods night sleep will probably fix it.
