Actually, I'm the opposite way. This goes against every instinct of my personality - I'm a hopeless showoff. smile8) I'm working on the coolest things right now and would love to have people watching me over my shoulder – especially the cheerleaders for the Indianapolis Colts. But I have learned that if people know the details of the process it will not seem as amazing.

I get like that too but normally cause I am excited with what I am creating and how cool it looks etc.

Think I need to figure out how to make textures into .mat extensions for Bryce only way found so far is using reg textures as displacement maps for the mountains/terrain height thingie what's it option.. (not had much sleep recently think brain fried)...

Okay but I did open daz studio while in Bryce and added a figure called Glitch to an image, is more for fun and learning really but here it is smile:D

That would be my thought too but for that to happen best bet is not to share with the Library smile:(. Part from that has draw backs in another way cause you could loose out on a HU, so it's more a catch 22, possible chance of HU via how many would you sell yourself. Mind I have a Rendosity site so *ponders* maybe I should make some of Ron's plasma balls and sell them too on their smile:D

heh that was one of the double mountain thingys they have I raised it up a bit more and used it as a cave like structure.

Mind I added a bump map to the mountain map and mixed them think that's why the inside looks more craggy.

yep he was in the sales at the Daz site the other day and I just had to get him.. although am getting broke with the daily sales they are having smile:( , might have to consider waiting till the next lot of sales lol! Also got a cute bug like critter but I thought Glitch would look better in that scene.

Is more me experimenting with Bryce so might get better at that, plus just had a peek at this weeks course work and seems we are learning lighting which I so needed to know for that picture lol!

That would be so great. smile:D I would be honored if you could derive some revenue from my filters. Here is your own personal paintbrush maker. I have combined my grunge filter with the plasma ball filter. It's a little slow but it makes some pretty cool brushes – or at least bases on which to build brushes.

Thanks. smile:) I hope Beliria likes it. I could have done a better job of combining the two filters if I knew exactly what artists require from brush tips. But I think a good artist will be able to use these as starters.

oo wow thanks Ron!!

Might have to get you to check the brushes I have made then smile:D, even um knocked a few lips up from Carl's filter for brushes, didn't use the presets, but thought they would make way cool brush images, that and some um hearts then I combined the heart filter or some of the elements with a some snippets one of the flower shape type ones I think.. was a about 3 months back.. or longer.

hey is a cool filter and I have no idea really what artists want I just look around at other sites on and off and think well maybe I can add something different to what they already have at their sites and hope its something someone would like for their projects etc.

I don't think they want something canned. At least for me, I would want to have elements that I could mix together to make the brush I need. but I guess everyone works differently so you never know what might sell. Good luck with it. When will you get your store open? Are brushes something that will sell in an SL store?

That's a nice pose on Glitch. Are you able to pose it however you want? If so, can you post a screencap of the controls used to move its arms and eyes etc.?

plan them for my web site. They probably would sell in SL but people expect textures in SL for peanuts compared to what is realistically charged elsewhere.

Their attitude is it only costs you 10L$ to upload them so why are you charging more than that per texture? Most places textures are around 35$L each on average which works out at around $0.015 if I have done my maths right.. is around $4 for 1,000 Lindens.

lol Glitch comes with some poses but there are some settings if you highlight parts of the figure you can move them yourself, like twist and things, and I just wanted to make it look like Glitch was about to go flying rather than not.

The leg angles was from a pose though, wings from moving. When am in next will do a screen shot for you smile:D

The way it usually works in Maya is that there will be splines that float a short distance from the part that can be moved. When that spline is selected it can be moved by dragging one or more sliders. I will find a pic.

um that reminds me isn't Renderosity the one that takes a 50% cut? Will have to go read their blurb on that again..

Might be why I opted for 3dcommune, they only take a 30% cut, which is a lot better than 50%.

hehe! Cute figures smile:D

okay when I read you was going to open maya for them I opened Daz studio.

See the grey boxes with text in to the right the top lot you can use for picking individual parts out of the scene and change colours and make them more transparent etc. The one below that you can change the directions of the part you have clicked on in the main screen, you can see a white box around part of the wing in this one.

Like if it is hair sometimes they have a lot more functions for making the hair longer, fit better, make it look fly away etc.

This is very impressive. I wonder how much of the gui is done for the person doing the rigging? So Glitch is in Daz not Bryce? Daz is where you do the posing?
