Mandelbrot on PBS

i debated whether to put this in off-topic or another forum. this is actually related to FF. PBS just ran a Nova show on Mandelbrot and fractals. for those that done know mandelbrot, he was the mathematician that founded fractal geometry math. this PBS show was fascinating, not only for the history of fractals and listening to mandelbrot, but in the every day applications his work is being put to use.

thus, if you can catch this show, it's well worth it. and i mean this to both the math-minded and the art-minded that frequent this forum. both can benefit from this. to the artist, you may not understand the math, but you'll understand the forms and the beauty. and to the math guys, it will open you eyes to some really cool real world stuff... and the beauty

Starting way back, I've repeatedly suggested that FF put in a fractal generator with user input.....a no-brainer to have with a program like this.....maybe it will come in V2.....

and sjeiti, like CF said, you might catch it via google. you could also try Mira, the free 'internet tv' software. some PBS stuff shows up on that.
