I have just found that Peter Stewart have done a collection of artistic photographs and edited them specially to look nice, with 15 Hong Kong buildings at night BUT they are viewed from a curious, unusual and interesting point of view to make them different as you may seem them
I think is very cool and beautiful and very well done and great idea Stacked - Urban Architecture of Hong Kong by Peter Stewart And there is more similar things in Pinterest from same author Architecture art 1 Architecture art 2 Architecture art 3 Also is interesting to see the other works made by him Art Portfolio of by Peter Stewart I like much the Industrial chemical plants seeing from an artistic way I do not why, but I really love much all the intrincated and complex things found in this kind of industrial buildings GET THE IDEA FOR OTHER THINGS IN LIFE AND FOR ART INSPIRATION[/B] I suposse that many of the filter forger users are also artists and like to make things with images in a artistic way What I like from this, apart from the beauty, is also the WAY it has been done, I mean the idea, as most of the people that my look and see this buildings see them and may photograph them in the usual way as found anywhere, BUT Patrick has thought to do it in such a different way that it makes art with it and this idea could be applied to many other things in life and art, you may see something lots of times, but always in the same way, what if you try to see it in different alternative ways and is like a search of finding beauty for art with ordinary things. Stop to watch carefully to things in an artistic way, look things from different point of views and not in the usual ways. Sometimes, ordinary things can become extraordinary! Lucky all of you that may live in a big city that may be full of interesting things, specially in the capitals of a country, specially in New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Bangkok, Singapore, Paris, London, etc. I regretably live in a very small town with very little interesting things, and is really very far from any important city. But anyway I try to see things in alternative and different ways |

Hey SpaceRay
For a moment I thought Captain Jean Luc Picard had taken up photography. until I followed your link I think you mean to say Peter Stewart rather than Patrick Stewart, Jean Luc Picard Captain of the Starship Enterprise. LOL If you correct that in your post. My post won't make any sense. Sorry but being a star trek fan I could not leave it alone. |

I've done architectural studies although more as a texture artist than anything.
I've been featured on Petapixel before for the work that you already know about. http://petapixel.com/2011/12/02/epic-...partments/ Although in my case I made it as more like a byproduct of my texture studies. The images are all seamlessly tile-able (aside the vignetting). |

Thanks for sharing, SpaceRay.
He even has before-and-afters for some of his photos: Peter Stewart: Before and After Unfortunately, some of the skies are a little too obviously composited. I wonder if some of those high-rises would be illegal in my closest city... As far as I know, in NYC, every bedroom must have a window, and there must be at least a 30 ft(?) length of empty space outside that window. |
