SpaceRay SpaceRay Posts: 12299 Filters: 35	Reading the John Knack on Adobe blog I have just found the news of this really cool, lovely, beautiful and amazing online app that is able to make typography words with letters from street photographs that are called ampergrams AMPERGRAM allows you to create typographic compositions using Instagram photos here is the news Ampergram: Instagram-powered typography I have created a special ampergram for filter forge, as can be seen here just below, BUT for a better viewing of it and see it in the original website, please see the link to the full screen version below at the end of this post, thanks. Here are other two examples AMPERGRAM WEBSITE AND BLOG and the above images comes from the Ampergram blog and gallery and the online app link is this one www.ampergram.com be sure that your internet browser is compatible with it See also this video that shows how Ampergram works and be amazed If needed see the instructions on How to create your own Ampergram although it is really intuitive and very easy to use. Just click on "start new" and choose from the preset arrangement. Is really very use to use and you can customize each letter and change each one of them (just click on each cubes and a menu appears) until you are satisfied with the result and then you can save it either as wallpaper for free or just pay 1$ for a big high resolution for printing with a great high quality that can be seen in this example shown here. Like much the freedom to customize the letters cubes with the letters that you may like from the ones available or you could put your own too, and also use the search provided to search for colors or other ways. Just use the menu that appears when clicking on a cube or also the menus available on the top right side (see the video) INSTAGRAM BEAUTIFUL AND LOVELY TYPOGRAPHY PHOTO SOURCES Also is beautiful and great to see the original source images and some of the compositions that are done there too, like for example this one here Ampergram source images collection from Instagram NOT NEEDED SMARTPHONE OR TABLET TO CREATE AMPERGRAMS Although is put that it is available for IOS or Android, you do not need any of this to use it as it works directly online from your internet browser. FILTER FORGE 4.0 AMPERGRAM As I said above I have made an ampergram with "filter forge 4.0" words and is already available in the gallery of the website and made public for everyone as you can see here in this link and seen better than the example above I have put. The good thing is that from this link provided by the online app after saving your creation, is that anyone else can ALSO share and save it for themsleves as a wallpaper or buy the 1$ high resolution version if you want. AND furthermore I have made it public for promotion of filter forge and included it in the public Ampergram blog gallery as can be seen here below You can write your own messages on leave them in the same gallery

SpaceRay SpaceRay Posts: 12299 Filters: 35	Here above I have put this example But I did not show how you can do this very easily without having to write yourself each one of the letters 1 - Just go to http://ampergram.com/ 2 - Select "start new" and select the cubes arrangement you want 3 - Then instead of beginning to write, just go to the top left and click on "select all" and then type only one letter and then you will get all the available different variations that this letter have in this moment, and it keeps growing each time so for some letters there could be a lot and for some only a few of them. For example I have done this

SpaceRay SpaceRay Posts: 12299 Filters: 35	This way all the letters appear in the order they are available in the Ampergram database, but you can change any of them just clicking and choosing another one if there is any other available Then after this you can use the result in Filter Forge as I have done for example here with Cube Wall by ThreeDee filter Or you can of course use any of the thousands of the filters available in the FF library to modify this Ampergram as you may want as for example this one below made with the Dragan by Truman filter using the original I have put in the first post above here

SpaceRay SpaceRay Posts: 12299 Filters: 35	Now this application is growing much, and there is much more letters added each month Amd I think that this could be used for using as source and then use any of the compatible FF filters that could be used with this. novoshootprojects ANOTHER similar online tool although MUCH MORE SIMPLE and not configurable I just found another one that try to makes something similar Instabet or Instabetter You have to enter the text that you want to use and then click "GO" and will appear the text converted, and then you can configure the distribution of letters using the "size slider", and if you do not like the letters design, the only way to change them is to click on the "GO" button again.

SpaceRay SpaceRay Posts: 12299 Filters: 35	Thanks EAdams, I agree that all these are very nice, the problem is that you CANÂ´T use this for any artwork that you want for sell or for making for any possible project you may have, as you would have to request the permission from EACH ONE of the letters authors. Also the EULA from Ampergram does not allow to use any of these for any commercial use, is ONLY for personal and private use.
